Since we can't hide our heads in the sand anymore, let's create a thread for Marsielle

Nole is going to play Dodig (what a name) in first round.

Ajde!

I hope Nole doesn't catch too much flak from haters saying he shouldn't be playing at all. Sigh...

Yes, Gilles is ill :o what a match this would be. I hope Nole would manage to be fresh in time for Indian Wells/Miami - he's got a huge chunk of his points to defend there.

Indian Wells is about 4 weeks away, he should have recovered already. But I just looked at his schedule. :tape: Well at least it said that he will only go to Dubai if he has early exit in Rotterdam.... I hope he gets deep in Rotterdam. :p

From http://www.blic.co.yu/sports.php?id=1555

'Aftermath of the flu epidemic within Serbia team were visible upon the players’ return to Belgrade – exhausted Zimonjic was coughing, Djokovic, covered with a blanket, tried to sleep through the flight from the Russia’s capital and fight off the illness, while the virus did not spare the remaining members of the backroom staff.'

Awww - bless. Why the hell is he in Marseille? Private jet, appearance money - either way it's just not worth it.

Well now she's met her quota of one tournament a year so she probably won't be to another one for a while :p

It was a tragedy to watch this match today... I don't know even why he went on the court. So many unforced errors, I wanted to cry a couple of times.. Doctor even meassured his blood pressure.... :(

Is he going to play Roterdam? I'd say he has no reason to play that tournament, considering his state, and he has nothing to lose or to get by losing the points from SF or getting some by winning it...

I say, get some rest and get some  from Jelena :inlove:

Simon is a bad, stupd man. He should've won it in 2 and got Nole outta there much sooner. Nole should and next time think twice before showing up at any non-mandatory event in this kind of form. It's unprofessional and harmful to his confidence.

From the BBC website:
"I was not 100% fit," said Djokovic. "I struggled in the long rallies and against a player as strong as Simon, that's not good enough.

"After the weekend in Moscow, the chances I would come here were not good but there was a lot of pressure for me to come. That will teach me a lesson."

Listen to us here next time please Nole - we have your best interests at heart.

Dubai has now appeared on his website schedule. It doesn't start until 3/3 so that should give him time to recover. He's got QF points to defend in Dubai too and the money is probably very tempting there - probably gets to stay in that amazing hotel with the helipad! He doesn't really want to go into IW without being match tight so I guess this is a good move.

I will go the first week before 2nd round started. Nole will have BYE in 1st round. So, the chance of me seeing him is only when he practise, like last year and if only he goes early. If he goes deep in Dubai, he will likely show up much later. Plus he's such a big star now that his practise court will likely be less accessable than last year.
