Alex has not the best results on grass,but its not the "heaviest" opponent.......I think he can beat him,he like it to play stepanek....

Well, Stepanek is not the easiest opponent on any surface but we have to pray that Alex gets thru his 1st rd -- he desperately needs to win a match on grass! I just watched him beat Sampras in DC Houston -- what a smart player Alex is!! So cool!

Stepanek is tricky and he will hit plenty of drop volleys and will be serving and volleying lot, if Alex remains calm and not serve poorly, then he has a chance.

i think alex has a chance to win this first round...well he's spanish and he's not a grass specialist but don't forget that he beat sampras! :)

When he dont beat him,than he dont beat a man like federer or Roddick on grass.....

Every match is hard,but i think its great that he plays "only" stepanek

Like roger I still remember is match against sampras... it was so worth it to stay up till 3 am and get mad at that bloody tv hahaha

He played so well and i hope he gets hiss confidence back a bit!!! i miss you Alex.. i mean Alex in 2001 and before!
