Santoro/Llodra >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Clement/Llodra

He played well only the last 3 games.
The guy was outpowered by Mergea during the numerous rallies on the baseline.
He could not volley correctly and finish a point.
Llodra did everything alone. Really.... And i dislike Llodra.

So true about Clement. I wonder if the ballkids understood French when he picked on them.

Llodra and Santoro is a better team, but Forget's poodle otherwise the clown with a bandana will always be picked.

The guy's a moron, I've yet to see a match of his where he doesn't find some way to let off steam by screaming at ballboys. He even asked the umpire to tell kids in the audience to stop cheering for him so loudly when he lost to Youzhny in Bercy

Actually, shouldn't "bandana" be plural? :p

I mean, Arnie possesses more variety in bandanas than a magician in hankerchiefs. I lost track of how many different ones he used during his week in Notts, last year. :tape:

Preaching to the converted about Napoleon Clement. I remember the time when he told Norm Chryst to stop traffic on a freeway going past an outside court.

I'm another person who loathes Clement, and it was great when the crowd at his match against Roddick at Montreal last year, roundly booed him when he again decided to be nasty to the ballkids.

Clement was crap in the AO final also.

They are and will stay top 10 teams, so no choice, Llodra and Clement will be one of us.
The other one might be Gasquet/Tsonga or Santoro/Gasquet if Fabrice manages to qualify.

llodra chose not to continue his partnership with santoro, and they no longer play together, haters you just have to live with that.

If Forget had some sense ( ) he would not take Clement in the DC team for the tie against the US. Tsonga or Gasquet can do the job in the doubles along with Llodra. Then, he could have Paulo as an extra player for the singles. :)

I adore Llodra.

Clement should probably stop acting like King Shit of Turd mountain - he only has 2 or 3 decent events in a season.

I like clement. I saw him at RG Museum patiently signing autographs for tons of noisy kids. He even was nice to me and let me take his photo. He was injured and had withdrawn from RG, and he was there just signing and take pictures with kids. He must have been there for an hour at least. I went around the museum and by the time I left he was still there.

Lots of players have a totally different personality when not competing. I like Clement but I saw him being extremely mean toward ballkids in a match. Very condescending. But he's a very nice guy otherwise. Same for Kiefer, he's a bit like a maniac on court but again very nice when I saw him outside practise court.

Arnaud had a bad day. Nothing serious, they won the tie and he's been playing good doubles overall this year.

Yeah, no way they beat the Bryans using Clement or Santoro in doubles, the finesse thing wouldn't work. But Paulo in the singles...

Fabrice Santoro has beaten the Bryan brothers ten times. That's right ten times. Further more he has beaten the Bryan brothers with four different partners. If anyone can beat the Bryan brothers it is Fabrice Santoro.

that's very true actually. (don't know about the kiefer part!)

but because he's been nice to me, i'll refrain from booing him at a match :o

however we're talking about DC doubles here and i haven't heard any bad behaviour so far.

Llodra-Clement had 2 wins over the Bryans last year including the Wimbledon final. Clement is adorable in his little bandanas, you just want to scoop him up drop him in your pocket and take him home. He has his weaknesses but part of good doubles is good returning and Clement is an excellent returner (in terms of both consistency and placement), better than Llodra. Best doubles teams often combine a more flashy player with a solid one, flashy one usually attracts the arm chair commentators eye but the solid one is just as important.

Clement has done a nice job of getting the most out of what he's got, particularly in the last 3 years since he fell out of the top 100. If he can squeeze out a couple more years in the top 75 he should be very happy. He makes a good living and he's hot, I doubt he's losing any sleep over some cheap shots on a tennis noticeboard.

Mergea and Tecau won this same matchup in the first round last year - and IN France. Role reversal this time.

Good win for Clement-Llodra.:yeah: Would have been nice to see the reverse singles have some importance, though.

8 years older and 6 inches shorter than his opponent and still the little fellow in the bandana manages to make it a 5-0 sweep for France.
