So sad for lucho, it's not often he would get to play in the world group in his home town :(

I guess the three hour battle with Berlocq last week took its toll, it must be a serious injury for him not to even try.

Congrats to Almagro, rotten luck for Horna to miss out a tie that obviously meant much to him.

He had it in training during the week, but we all assumed he'd front up and play.

 So sad.
I knew he had problems with his arm but never suspected it was that bad. It must be because this tie meant so much to him

Yes Lucho will have been looking forward to playing in this tie once the draw was made. His scheduled match against Almagro would have been one of the biggest and most important of his career, had his right arm injury not prevented him from participating in it.
Well done to Silva for making the first 2 sets competitive, against a player ranked 622 places above him. Away from the Davis Cup, Silva has only ever played in one match above futures level, and then came in his home challenger event at Lima which he was granted a wildcard for. However he certainly didn't embarrass himself yesterday.
