He got the job done and that is all that matters (although the scoreline is worrying, for him). Russia really needed to make it 2-0 given that Nole was absent today. Even now, the tie isn't beyond doubt, given that it is, perhaps, not unreasonable to think that Nole and Tipsy might still show up before the tie is over.

Next time tell Nole to not eat the chicken dumplings.

Troicki played well today. In 3rd & 5th set he broke Kolya in 1st game but after that he fall physically and couldn't hold there. Anyway all credits to him - that was his 1st match he played four or five sets.

Just to mention umpire and linesman did so mush mistakes.5-6 balls was called out for Troicki (and they were good), as for Kolya's out was called in :(

Fixed...
As far as my tennis knowledge goes, this 5 setter is fixed.
I mean number 4 player, doesn't just "forget" to play tennis in two sets, and all of you who think Troicki did something special... He didn't.

Troicki needs to do something about his game cause the "he played good, showed a lot, could've won it" story is getting old...i'm pretty much sick of the commentator saying "he played great with Rafa, but lost 3-0; he played with Federer and lost 2 sets in tie breaks; he showed great performance at 2 challengers but lost in the 1st rounds  "...that potential needs to get materialized

Linesmen are shameless, but that's nothing new...they should at least keep the hawk eye replays to themselves, for integrity sake

Yup. But, I don't believe in him.

Yeah, good that you remind it... He has good scorelines against Top 4 players in the world:
Federer 6-7(2) 6-7(3)
Nadal 6-7(3) 5-7 1-6
Djokovic 2-6 6-4 7-5
Davydenki 1-6 6-1 3-6 6-1 2-6

but still is barely 114 in the ATP ranking with 7 defeats in a row :help:

Let the Troicki bandwagon begin ...

Long time member of that one :rolls:

I've been on his bandwagon almost as long as Novak's :rolls: he's just finally giving me good reason.

I can't believe I didn't record this match. Did anyone record this match for some reason that could make me a copy somehow? I'll pay!

Too bad Troicki would not win, at least the tie would have gone to a 3rd day.

It's a good thing Davydenko won this one, otherwise the chances of him securing a singles spot in Davis Cup in the future would have gone down noticeably.

OFF: Viktor is half-Russian. The father is ethnic Russian born in Serbia, the mother is Serbian - paternal grandfather coming from Rostov (Ростов), grandmother from Tver' (Тверь).

Perhaps HE spread the virus around? Russian mole amidst our guys :haha:

(To prevent the retard attack, the above was a joke.)
