Hi everybody!

Please, can you vote for Mika, on the Open 13 Blog, on Piti Pingoin Link?
Indeed, it is a poll? about whose player we prefer between Mika and Santoro, having a WC.
So Piti Pingoin, me and the rest of Mika fans, ask you to vote for him.
Indeed, Mika, asked for a WC because he can't go to the qualifications, because of the Davis Cup.
Moreover, fabrice Santoro "forgot" to register? himself, and now asks a WC. But Fabrice can go to the qualifications.
Thanks

And sorry for the faults, English isn't my langage.

Yes, they are serious.

The results of the sondage will help, to determine the WC.

I listened to his audio interview on the FFT website (http://www.fft.fr/open13/2008/) and he talks again about his injury. He says it was not really a problem tonight, but it's been bothering him for a while now and hampering him in training, so it might be a factor too. (I wonder why he played in DC then - just because they wanted to take their revenge for last year?!)

He says he'll see now with Montalvan what he needs to do to get rid of this injury because for the rest, he really is eager to play, the motivation is not the problem right now.

No, I'll leave it at the hotel. It gets too heavy when one has to carry it around all day. And besides that, it won't fit in my bag, my camera takes almost the entire space
It says on the website the hotel has wireless internet, so hopefully that's true. In the summer another hotel had satellite tv, maybe, but we still watched only French channels for the weather. That was all we could understand ;)

I forget to bet here, so I certainly won't do any illegal bets with real money :p

Let her come to him instead, Marseille and Aix are much nicer cities, Paris is cliche on Valentine's day

Maybe it doesn't matter at all, because I'm at the airport now and already 2 flights have been cancelled due to weather conditions in Eindhoven!
If our flight also gets cancelled and we can rebook in the morning we will still go, but if we can fly at night it has no use in my opinion.
But we will have to wait and see, I have 1 hour of internet here, so if I know in this time I'll let you guys now. Otherwise you'll read something tonight.

Please pray for us. There's just some fog here, make it go away that's all I ask ;)

I read in the newspaper that Paris is the city where most British couples break up, because they have too high expectations from this so called romantic city :p
So I would rather go with my imaginary boyfriend to Aix en Provence, I loved it there in the summer :hearts:

I just emailed something to Higherlaw, I copied it from my mail and additions & pics will come when I'm back home sunday :)

We're going to do sight seeing in the city tomorow, because I've never been to such a boring tournament before. You have to go outside to go to court 1 and that court is even smaller than centre court at the Aachen Challenger. The OOP is also very unlogical, today there were 2 doubles scheduled for the evening, but not with an exact time. So we asked when they started and they told us at about 7-8 pm. That really wasn't possible, because Simon had to play his singles at centre at 7 pm. And according to those people he had to start his doubles at the same time, I told them it wasn't possible, but they said it was, because it was scheduled at different courts. But hey, Simon can't split himself in half, can he? After that doubles match was another scheduled and matches should be finished at midnight. The weird thing being that all day court 1 was closed! We left after Simon's match, because we didn't feel like waiting for the doubles to start. The last metro/bus goes back around 0:00, so we couldn't see the two doubles.
There is also nothing else to do in between matches, access to the lounge, bar, village, etc is only for VIP tickets. Training courts are nowhere to be found near the tournament. Waiting for players at that door was also a little useless, we saw Simon arriving and Murray leaving, so in a whole afternoon only 2 players! When we walked back to centre court we saw Youzhny getting out of a car and Mahut leaving. But Youzhny really was eager to get inside and Mahut was flirting with a girl, so we didn't bother those two.

That was about it for the day. I tried to ask Thierry Tulasne after Gilles' match if he knew someting about Arno and Bruno coming to the tournament tomorrow, but the only thing he could tell me was that Arno has a "bad foot". I guess he will be with his parents lying on the couch and get his mummy to bring him cookies and milk, lol.

That was the email, I decided I will never go here for the tournament if it isn't sure that Arno is still here also :p

i don't quite understand why you (and others) are still expecting arnaud to be coming to the tournament, when he isn't playing... doesn't he have anything better to do?

btw, i always get all mixed up with the thierry's... why are all middle aged frenchmen called thierry? lol

one last edit... that's why i always try to attend the first few days, even the qualifying weekend. that way you're guaranteed to find everyone. i don't care so much for the 'best-quality' tennis at the later stages, i can see that at home.

I don't expect Arno to be there for the whole day, but it's his home tournament, he can come and cheer for fellow Frenchies every once in a while :p Or maybe walk in a few minutes to make his fans happy ;)

Don't know, I guess it was a popular name at that time :p But when I say Thierry, you're almost certain it's Tulasne. After Bruno he's my fav coach :D

I also try do attend qualies and the first few days, but this week it wasn't possible. I had 2 tests on tuesday and wednesday, if I didn't do them I had to stay at this school for another year just to do these 2 tests :p

edit: I thought of it and I think that if this tournament had more things to do apart from watching tennis, it would also be more interesting for players to stay there. In Rotterdam the players play the things in the kids village a lot and just walk around to look at everything.
Last year Djokovic and some others were playing Padl all the time, it was really fun to watch :p

And for those wondering, I don't think this is a boring tournament just because Arno isn't here anymore. I just expected more from a tournament this size, it says something when a challenger is much more fun than this :tape: But maybe I'm spoiled with 's-Hertogenbosch, Rotterdam, Düsseldorf and Halle every year :p

How does he know it's ten days? I don't think you can predict when an injury is over  Hopefully he takes all the rest he needs and not start too soon, I don't want him to be one of those players where the same injury keeps coming back.
Get well soon Arno!

Well, Montalvan apparently is the only doctor in France who is good enough for the French tennis players, so if Montalvan is in Paris, they come from Aix-en-Provence and Neuchâtel just to see him, it seems.
I would do the same if I were in that situation. Why not visit the doctor that's best in your opinion? Even if the man is in Paris, or China for all I care, if they have the money to travel from everywhere to see him, they should. If that is what makes them happy and feel better... :)

yes, doctor doctor... never under-estimate doctors of the heart ;)

so - no tennis activity for arnaud this week. shall we examine hotel options in paris (i mean for our roland garros trip ) or rather lotteries that are good bets?

I will participate in the Dutch Lotto, they have commercials that say you got the biggest chance to be a millionare with them
We'll find a hotel in Paris if we have amount of money :p Or if we still want to be cheap, we'll go camping together :rolls:

I know the cheaper hotel of Paris (agglomeration) ;)

Well, if I won to the lottery, I wouldn't go to Wimbledon, that's not far enough from home, I would choose the australian open, or the us open ! lol

well then i should be happy with what i've got... i've already 'won the lottery' cos i go to melbourne every year!

though i'd appreciate some financial luck if i want to go to wimbledon and roland garros... money would be really needed if i wanted to travel like a VIP, and watch the tennis like a VIP too, instead of queuing up like the rest of the peasants ;)

i did get the chance to go to miami almost like what i have described... so i am eternally grateful for my good luck , once upon a time

Ok, we'll have to visit all Slams! If we're going on my lottery winnings, there will be no camping, cheap hotels or non-box seats!! Hotel George V, svp!

If the lottery will come across my bank account someday to drop a huge amount of money, ofcourse we won't go camping, in the worst case it will be a 3 star hotel

if i go to paris, i'd let marine choose a hotel for me... she knows all the best places that her friends stay in

if i go to london however, maybe i'd ask a cousin over there. we aren't that close, but when i win the lottery, all that would be changed :tape:

if i go to new york, there'd be a lot of family and friends to invite! yay

i hope that lottery win would be at least in tens of millions! one could easily spend a million bucks per trip with friends in tow :)
