Murray showed against volandri last year that clay can be a good surface for him

Peru vs Spain, I definetely think Peruvians will fight, and might clinch a win.

russia-serbia is about the only one worth seeing for me, mainly cause both countries have good players so the matches should be more interesting

The poll is a little, um...one sided. It's a shame that Russia and Serbia have to meet in the first round and not later on.

I agree with everyone else - Russia vs Serbia.

Russia vs Serbia by far the most interesting match. I hope Serbia can win, but it's going to be very, very tough against strong Russian side.

I'm going to be different and pull for Israel/Sweden. :p Hard to pick a winner for that one too.

The tie that nobody seems to be talking about is Germany-Korea.

Haas, Waske and Kohlmann out and the hosts might just feel a little vulnerable. Lee is no mug on clay and there's every chance he could defeat Mayer on the first day. Then there's the doubles in which Petzschner will probably partner either Kohli or Berrer. But in any case it will not be an established partnership and Lee has won 8 out of his last 10 Davis Cup doubles rubbers.

With a little bit of luck, Korea could be leading 2-1 and then anything can happen on the last day. No doubt this would be the upset of the first round if it happened.
