Well done to Gonzo for winning his 9th ATP title. It's a real shame about the circumstances, but they weren't his fault.
Pablito had his chances and it's a shame that he couldn't take them. However that shouldn't detract from the fact that he has had an excellent week, and I'm pleased to see him break into the top 100.

Bilbo

imo one of the most undeserved winners of the past few years this gonzo. he needed cuevas to choke the match away and his opponent in final to withdraw who would have clearly beat a tired and bad playing gonzo.

So, Monaco is out, but if Cuevas won this match he would automaticaly win a title :spit: That would be something

This is the first time that an ATP Tour final has been a walkover since Basel 2003, when Nalbandian had a left wrist injury, and was unable to take on Coria in the final.

Didn't like Feña's attitude yesterday

He was being such histeric in the vibrations, shouting like he had won a GS at every Cuevas error. He also never stoped to complain about Damien Steiner (who really sucked very badly, but for both sides). There was a Cuevas' serve that Feña thought it was out and spent 2 minutes seeing the mark, erasing it with the shoes. :o

A shame for Pablo, who had such an easy match point to convert at 6-4 in the TB. He had the ball in his hands with Feña at the net in the middle of the court. It was just a question of hitting Feña, even not strongly, doing a passing winner on the left or right of him. In the first 2 options he would have won, but he chose the third and missed the shot :o

:hatoff: to the point who gave Cuevas a 4-2 lead in the TB. Feña did a drop shot and when Cuevas was running to it he almost droped. Then, all unsteady he believed in the point and threw himself to make an impossible passing winner. Even Feña clapped to it. It bwas surreal :worship:

Total lack of experience didn't let Pablo win his first title, combined with a good comeback from Feña together with the crowd (don't take me bad, Chilean guys, but the crowd didn't know how to cheer yesterday. I can't count in the fingers how many times they shouted during the point when Cuevas was going to hit the ball, sometimes even in the toss :o)

Yes, I remember that match between Calleri and Guga and the behaviour of the Brazilian crowd was equal or even worse that yesterday. It doesn't make me agree with it

Crowd can totally be decisive and fanatic without "breaking the rules". They even shouted during Cuevas first serve, and this is wrong.

Gonzalez trying to intimidate a lesser experienced player is a poor attitude.

The worst thing is that Gonzalez do this with unexperienced players.... like Cilic or Cuevas but when he is against Federer,Nadal,Hewitt he doens`t do this things.

I remember against Marat in Davis Cup Kgonzo was quiet.....

a repetitive bad attitude.

The behaviour of some Chileans fans becomes shameful as hell. :o Screaming "anda a chuparsela al arbitro, maricon" (go suck the umpire's c*** you pussy)

or "f***ing uruguayan", just because he went close to the coach. i only saw the coach clapping, maybe he talked something I don't know. But according to Steiner he didn't, so

I think he couldn't handle the pressure of the 2nd set TB, he was about to lift the ball to serve, while you can hear a scream of "uruguayo conchetumadre" (motherf***ing uruguayan) from the stands. so dude.

I was in the front row, so I could hear all that.

Anyway Cuevas played great in the first 2 sets, that bh shot was tremendous.

Gonzo needs to imitate players like Federer in this department, not to mugs like Roddick who usually does (remember against Tsonga last year).

I really don't like his attitude. He wasn't like this in the past :(
