Still no news regarding the WC?

posteni

I hope they are at least tempted to give ono of WC's to Ancic. He'll probably make top 50 again very soon, observing how powerful he looked vs. Tsonga, Soderling, Baghdatis in Marseille, and now he keeps playing strong in Zagreb. If I remember well, his sister received a WC two years ago, so maybe he will get one this year.

If Fish gets in directly, that WC will go to someone else. So Frank still needs two withdrawals.

Why will Santoro miss this event?I asked and answered myself the question in his forum yesterday:
http://www.menstennisforums.com/showpost.php?p=6690218&postcount=68

He had already said a few times he wouldn't play both IW and Miami. Maybe he's injured too, but I haven't read anything about it and he looked fine in Dubai.

official reason on the ATP playerzone was "personal". No injury. So I assume he just didn't want to play both

Yeah, it's obvious, isn't it? He hopes to get directly into the Main Draw. The qualy matches are earlier so he hopes to recover for the start of the Main Draw...Guess he won't recover for the start of the qualy matches.
