Does anyone know the group of people that was supporting Tsonga during the final? They were sitting above Novak’s family.

Hoooo, they are really scary. I can understand Novak's father fear now.

I will do nightmares tonight.

From what I saw on TV, they seem to passionately cheer for their guy Tsonga. I just would like to know what Novak's folks were upset about. Did fans say something insulting to them or Novak' parents were just mad that supporters were sitting next to them?

If French supporters did not say anything insulting to the family then I think it was unfair to put a security next to them for the hall match.

So, basically Djokovic's were acting like the victory is in their hands and they own the place...

I met them a few times during the week. Me and my friends were cheering on Gasquet when he played Lopez and at his match against Andreev theyrecognised us and invited us to come cheer with them for a bit. They were just your average funny entertaining supporters. They were all such nice guys and really respectful to Andreev when he hit winners and stuff. Mr Djokovic was just being spoilt and pathetic about it at the final.

O people, people...

We don't know why Srdjan called security aren't we? Maybe was some other's who insulted them or provoke  Don't get conclusions so lightly.

Novak was a favorite in match so it's logically that main crowd cheer against him. Like in USO final was more crowd on Novak side.

If you believe that was the real reason why the crowd cheered against him, you're a delusional Djokotard. :rolls:

They booed him because he was acting like a brat. Spitting, whining, ball bouncing... Even the commentators said something about his behavior.

I take your point, but at the same time the majority of the crowd was turned off by Novak’s behavior. Maybe you remember, at the end of the match someone from the crowd yelled "stop it" when Novak was bouncing the ball before the serve. At what Novak did? He gave a mad look to the crowd and asked the chair empire to shut them up.

There are other on court behaviours from Novak that I don't like but that fan was way way out of line to shout like that when he's preparing to serve so I really can't blame Novak got mad.

I agree, it's low to yell when a player is about to serve... but Novak should be smarter than he was during the final. He should learn that he's in the grand slam final and thousands are watching every his move. He decided to react the way he felt like, but by doing that he lost hundreds of fans and supporters.

Tsonga did all that things too... except ball bouncing. And the only time he revolt against it was when crowd booing on Nole's serve and Nole stopped. He was protesting by umpire when Nole obviously couldn't serve because of crowd. That was unfair. Also Tsonga protest by some challenge decisions. And jumping behind baseline while the other player serving. And Novak applauded him on good points. But all this are little things and I like him like player.

Just you people when dislike someone, you notice all that little things and catch up for this, despite many players do the same...

Right. He didn't even get a warning from umpire.

I was/am a Novak fan!!! Before the match, I was thrilled and wanted Novak to win his first GS... but as the match progressed I disliked what I saw coming from him. I hope he can learn as he progresses otherwise he would end up like Andy Roddick.

So r u still his fun? If he did something bad what exactly turn you against him?

There were just a few moments and if you really his fun that wouldn't distract you. He hit ball once in the net (cause of his UE), and said once something to the crowd (in Serbian so they did not understood him) when was obviously irritated. I never saw him argument with umpire (except he was right).

It's not what he said; it's about how he made us feel. It's about his attitude.

He said something in Serbian, but people without even understanding what he said new that's it's directed to them and it's not good. Safin gets angry on court all the time, but it's because he's frustrated with himself with his game - he does not spread the anger on spectators. Everyone loves him for that, but Novak gets angry because people don't support him, and it's not a turn on for some people including me.

ThAT WAS a slam final, I dont judge this people right away for their behavior on court or on the stands. I dont see anything wrong with what they did for both the fans and the players.

Still the better player has won!

Point!

When?

Whining (at some UEs), head-nodding (Did you watched SF Tsonga-Nadal?), argument with umpire... I remember some challenge in first set. Tsonga served the ball was called out. Then he challenged, was right, but argument with umpire cause it was going to replay point. Same situation for Djokovic later but he didn't complain (although I was sure it's an ace for Djokovic). Obviously Tsonga has no problems with crowd cause they have been with him before the match start.

I was trying to say that you people catch up with every single bad Novak's move, blame him for that, and don't see the other player (whether you dislike Novak or was cheering for Tsonga). Also you didn't want to see nothing positive (like Novak's applauding on good points, and never seen Tsonga doing that). Again I don't blame Tsonga for anything just both of them are still very young and we will see in the future how they will act.
