Viña del Mar R32: Coria vs. Cuevas. Who will win?Xavidbz 01-27-2008, 12:17 PM Last ATP match for Guillermo was back in August 2006, will he finally get his serve and game back? Will he able to beat current number 114? Hope so. Ánimos Mago! :bigclap: ReturnWinner 01-27-2008, 12:20 PM well the outcome depend on How well -or How bad lol- Coria serves VolandriFan 01-27-2008, 12:21 PM According to someone (reliable source?), Guillermo has been playing stunning tennis in practice, you wouldn't guess that he'd been sidelined for so long. But matches are an entirely different scenario. If he can get his serve to land in the box consistently, then naturally he's the favourite. krystlel 01-27-2008, 12:22 PM Articles (with quotes from Coria) have also said that Coria usually plays well in practice but that he can't perform at all in matches. These articles are from the last time he played those challenger events. http://www.ole.clarin.com/notas/2007/12/11/01561913.html Burrow 01-27-2008, 12:42 PM Coria for the title. Jozie 01-27-2008, 12:47 PM Please make a comeback Coria. I really miss you!!!!! Ivanatis 01-27-2008, 01:09 PM Cuevas in 2. Coria will win 8 games maybe. juninhOH 01-27-2008, 01:18 PM Coria played ridiculously bad in Aracaju, Brazil, final of last year. Sean.J.S. 01-27-2008, 01:19 PM Go Cuevus. dijus 01-27-2008, 01:24 PM hopefully Coria, but Cuevas should grab this one Snowwy 01-27-2008, 01:25 PM This is actually kinda a tough draw for Coria, Cuevas although ranked 114 can actually play. Jimnik 01-27-2008, 01:27 PM I'm sure, even when he was hitting all those DFs, he was never doing it in practise. It's a mental problem with Coria and he needs to feel more relaxed playing official ATP maches. If this event were still Round Robin, I would fancy his chances a little better. W!MBLEDON 01-27-2008, 02:13 PM Pablo in straights. *Viva Chile* 01-27-2008, 02:47 PM Cuevas in straights 7-6(0), 6-0 and with Coria doing 20 DF :tape: LocoPorElTenis 01-27-2008, 02:49 PM Unfortunately, Coria will make lots of double faults, get frustrated and retire before finishing the match. At least, that's pretty much what happened when he played some challengers a few months ago. A_Skywalker 01-27-2008, 03:41 PM Welcome back Coria jonny84 01-27-2008, 03:56 PM I think he will win this match, but will struggle deeper in the draw ChinoRios4Ever 01-27-2008, 03:56 PM Cuevas 6-4 ret. after Coria hitting 25 DF in one set  Burrow 01-27-2008, 04:49 PM :haha: I cannot stop laughing at you Chileans and Gonzalez fans too, bitter perhaps because Coria railed up 5 match wins in a row against Gonzalez before losing in 2005? Young Boss 01-27-2008, 04:57 PM i will be pulling for Coria, but he has a tough match. Julio 01-27-2008, 06:26 PM Vamos El Mago !!! :bounce: LeChuck 01-27-2008, 08:03 PM I want Coria to win this, but Cuevas will start as the favourite. CooCooCachoo 01-27-2008, 08:13 PM Vamos Pablo  Horatio Caine 01-27-2008, 08:23 PM Can't say I've been a Coria fan, but I'm hoping he wins this. He needs the confidence boost right now. :yeah: Adler 01-27-2008, 08:51 PM When was the last time Coria hit an ace? Haile Selassie 01-27-2008, 08:54 PM Best of luck Guille :sobbing: Young Boss 01-27-2008, 10:05 PM Cuevas 6-4 ret. after Coria hitting 25 DF in one set  damn, 6-4 after recieving 25 donations ? how bad would Cuevas have to play to only win the set by one break ? bluefork 01-27-2008, 10:46 PM Coria can be a bit of a punk, but when he's playing well, he's great to watch. Hopefully he can win this match and pick up some confidence. That's said, I voted for Cuevas by retirement  adee-gee 01-27-2008, 11:45 PM Good luck Guille. Cuevas should win, but it's great to have Coria back and hopefully he can return to something close to his old self, even if it is unlikely. wenty 01-28-2008, 01:39 AM Vamos Guille! lucho_coria 01-28-2008, 01:47 AM Please Guille , close the mouth to all LocoPorElTenis 01-28-2008, 06:58 AM damn, 6-4 after recieving 25 donations ? how bad would Cuevas have to play to only win the set by one break ? Coria could break Cuevas' serve 4 times. Before taking the long break, Coria's overall game was still decent except for the serve. Xristos 01-28-2008, 07:39 AM Coria 7-6 in the third. baghdatis 01-28-2008, 08:54 AM Hope Coria does well. allero 01-28-2008, 11:18 AM Guille will win this one! 6-3 1-6 7-6 (7-4) Xavidbz 01-28-2008, 12:15 PM When was the last time Coria hit an ace?
