If Jowili wins, that will be tough luck for Nole. He has made it to the semifinals of the last 4, and the finals of the last 2. It's about time that he had his breakthrough win. If Tsonga were to come basically from out of nowhere and take this title it would be a little heartwrenching, especially if Nole has his chances like he did in the US Open final against Fed.

I kinda want Tsonga to take it because I am on his fanwagon now, but I will still feel bad if that happens. Unlike some people, I like Novak.

If Tsonga wins Sunday he will be #9 in the world and he'll have nothing to defend at all of the Masters Series events (except Paris where he just has 75 points to defend) and nothing to defend at the French Open.

Most of his "best of 5" points are now from challengers he has won so if he does well in Rotterdam, Dubai and Marseille (as well as the Masters series) he could potentially be as high as #4 or #5 by the start of Wimbledon.

Novak will win. I have faith. I pegged him to win from the start before I even knew the draws. He's ranked 35 places above Tsonga for a reason. I think his choke in the USO final has taught him a great lesson about keeping his nerve. He's been there before, JW hasn't. I think that will count for a hell of a lot.

djokovic is like a lot of eastern euros that ive met, friendly and jokes all the time, but when it comes down its every man for themselves, i think its cuz theyve been through a great deal of turmoil in their histories, but i respect that

Tsonga will gain a lot of respect, appreciation and admiration...along with the pressure to keep it going and prove to everyone that he's not a one-shot wonder. As for me, I don't know, maybe I'll go 'Allez, Ali!' :P

Would be gut-spewing for Nole were he to lose Sunday - can't get away from that - far worse than losing to either Fed or Nadal. He and Tsonga have never played on the tour as far as I know. Anyone know what the junior history was?
