Roger never find excuses for loses, but

what exactly is going on after leading 5-3, 30-0, when Joker acts like he is going to pass out any second on the court?

What's with the second set not even chasing some balls down?

Joker reads his serve really well today, but I still feel Roger beats himself down. It just hurts to see him having trouble closing matches.

i think roger is getting a bit old, not as fast or aggressive as before, but it could be illness or nerves

what does the face gesture of Djokovic matter

he played like this was an execution of Federer and stood him towards the ball and shot him over the court

Federer had no match to close out, he got whipped over the court all long

He was clearly not 100%. Hit footwork and defensive game were very poor throughout the 2 weeks. Ive never seen him struggling like that to get a lot of normal balls. He wasnt getting there a lot of the time and when he did he wasnt exactly doing much with it when he did. Legs looked soo heavy

Matters considerably.

In case you forgot Fed had serious chances in all 3 sets.

Was up a break and all he had to do was hold in the first.

He broke Nole and got another bp against him to nearly level the second.

Then he gifted nole back his set at 0-40 in the third.

But those be facts, no?

I don't see how anyone can say a victory like this was 'steamrolling'

the big problem federer has developed is not being able to close out sets or take advantage of break points, also needs to work on that backhand some more, needs to play nadal more!

yeah!!! I hate his constant slice returns to second serves that always land in the middle of the court. He needs to thump it with his forehand. He's become to obsessed winning with the least amount of effort. I'm happy in a way because this defeat will surely stir him up.

yea, i mean, i agree with everything, but when its said and done, hes #1 and thebest ever, maybe if i was in his shoes i wouldnt be able to do it too, i mean i think hes damn smart so maybe he just got unlucky

I think this is true to an extent. He needs to go for it a little more, especially when his defense is failing him. Tactically, it was just not all there tonight; whereas Novak was spot on.

Matters not much, maybe 0.1%

Federer should not look at Djokovic's face gesture and the face gesture does not decide the point and Djokovic can do whatever face gesture he wants if he is ready for the next point again

Well Federer can't do much about courts becoming realy slow. Conserving energy has became a high priority, while point-construction and taking the risks doesn't pay off.

The next game was the game that summed up his tournament

serving for the set and he fell apart for no reason at all - i mean Nole was playing shit!

that is something no one but him can understand

Federer played worse than Rodduck on the baseline, at least the duck can keep it in.

In the post press conference, Federer wasn't very gracious in defeat.

is that up for reading someplace yet?
i haven't seen the first set, nor some of the second yet, but both relieved and dismayed to learn he had chances and couldn't do it :( he'll do better next time, I think

His presser said he needed to step up on the big points, Nole did so he won.

What's to argue about that?

I think he's upset with himself and he should be. He gift wrapped that match to Nole w/ sloppy play at crucial points. And Novak took it...and then some. He may have even gotten into Fed's head a little bit. I think this loss is going to stick in his mind for a little while.

Hopefully it will be the impetous for better play.

Djokovic himself didn't, he is no Nadal. But maybe Djokovic's CAMP did... Federer likes clean atmosphere, only tennis, which is what you don't get with Djokovic because of his entourage (neither with Nadal, because of how he himself is)

In the post press conference, Federer wasn't very gracious in defeat. Why? because he said he doesnt care who wins the final?

he gave props to Nole for playing the big points better than him - i dont know what more ppl need to actually hear.
