Yes, Absolute. I said Yes..........

Why.

This guy is on fire, His tennis is going up to next level. He does do everything as Roger did 4 years ago

He is the guy who has the chance, He is not 2006 Baghdatis, He is going to title for 100%.

It told you, He would be in the final after He won over Andy Murray

Anyone Agree or Disagree, Tell why

Some people never ceases to amaze me here. Federer lost a match or two... He's rapidly declining! Nalbandian won two masters events in a row at the end of the year... He's going to start winning slams left and right! Now this... C'mon.

I didn't say it.

But, This time I'm 95% he is coming, This guy is Tsonga. He is clear winnner against everybody so far.

ONlY Roger and Djok. If He does beat Roger and Djok, He would go up the next level, That make him the Brand New No 1 is just matter of time

Oh, Man

Tsonga is a totally different guy than Nalbandian. You can't compare him to Nalbandian

Because, Nalbandian never be consistent, He is up and down all the time.

He will go all the way to the moon. He is that good

Indeed.

Astronomers have long pondered the origin of comets and other celestial bodies. I, too, must wonder if this Tsonga did not come from France, but rather some nebulous region out beyond the Kuiper Belt.

And what track record do you have to go on that he'll be any more consistent than Nalbandian??? Am I missing something?? The fact of the matter is that he'll very likely lose in the final to whoever he plays. Let's hold off on the coronation, shall we?

He can certainly win this AO(and i have a feeling he'll do it) but to finish the year as number 1??
no, i don't think so.
As Nadal said it very well,Tsonga has been in the zone in this AO but it's impossible to maintain that level the whole year.....so we'll have to see how he'll perform when he won't be at his best after this AO before assuming he'll finish the year as number 1.

He will do the following:
1)win 20 slams.
2)married Carla Bruni (she will leave Sarkozy for him)
3)begin a career in boxing and became heavyweight champion next year
4)solve the subprime crisis (this will be done in his free time)

LleytonMonfils
01-24-2008, 06:48 PM
He does have a game that can threaten at all 4 Slams. 1 being in front of the home crowd. Let's see how he handles the pressure now though. Like Nadal said he wants to see if this kid can play this kind of tennis consistently.

If he can of course he'll be a force to reckon with, but some of you have forgotten Gonzalez O SO FAST!

everytime where has been a surprise AO finalist in recent years they have struggled the rest of the year. i think tsonga will have a hard time on clay but then come good again on grass and hard courts in the second half of the season. but he doesnt have any big points to defend til like queen's, so who knows

Just like Gonzalez was last year at this same time. In fact he had a couple of performances that were possibly better than Tsonga's last night. This whole thing and all the comments like it are deja vu from last year. How quickly some people forget and jump to conclusions too soon.

Ah, he'll be fine. A Final and Semis at a slam is a good start to the year for him. Despite what the haters here think, Rafa's fans (generally speaking) do not hold him to the impossible standards set by some other players.

hey hold on didn't gonzo do the same last year and he destroyed tommy in the semi and tommy was playing fantastic tennis. Roddick did the same thing last year too only to get spanked by federer. You do know federer likes to play against players who hit through the ball and Tsonga doe's that right? Rafal game didn't match up well to Tsonga but i bet you fed won't let him play like that if he makes the final.
Fed serves better, slices better then anyone in the world and this court was made for low slices and has a good baseline game too match it with anyone.
If fed is on then he will straight set Tsonga i have no doubt about that.
I more afraid of Nole then Tsonga to tell you the truth that guy keeps on coming up with the goods and that's number 1 material in my book.
