... I know many of you have been waiting impatiently for my enlightened opinion. So I have decided to step in and end your torment.

Having predicted long ago that Tsonga would win it all up until the finals, I shall now decree he will not go further.

Unless he clinches the first set from Nadal and gets a runaway in the second, he'll never recover from a single set down.HE WILL LOSE THIS MATCH!!!

This coming from a die hard Tsonga fan. x

May I ask why the radical change in opinion?

May I ask why the radical change in opinion?

Because you and I both now that regardless of how good he plays or places the ball at sharp angles, Radal will throw everything back at him with compliment, and strive to destabilise him until he's worn down mentally, and beats himself out of the match. Sad end to a good grand slam run really. I still believe he'll make it up there. He certainly has the game to do it.

I still don't know it:shrug: But I am glad you realized a lot about Nadal since yesterday:hug:

Nadal won't overpower him, he'll beat him mentally. Tsonga has the game to beat him but it won't be enough, unfortunately.

Oui en effet. J'estime toutefois que ce sera un match tres serre, et j'espere que Tsonga prouvera que j'avais tort, car j'apprecierais de voir ses limites face au maitre inconteste, j'ai nome: federer!

Everybody has their view thats what makes sports great imho Nadal will win, having watched a replay of the 1/4 match with Tsonga winning 3 sets to love iam not convinced by him,Nadal has to much for him to cope with but good luck whatever you bet in this match.

I was actually impressed at how tactically he approaches the game, on every point. However against Nadal, I dont know if he's gonna have time to think, with the ball coming back at him hundred of mph... Never mind how beautiful a touch he has on the ball, sthg hitting your racket that hard is bound to rebound high up in the air, prime for Nadal to smash.

I think Tsonga is very strong mentally, he was very solid and agressive on his opportunities against Youzhny, and I don't think Nadal is that strong mentally, especially when attacked, his last defeats against Youzhny Federer or Nalbandian were by a wide margin. I think if Tsonga can attack all match long, not play Nadal's game because no one is beating him there, he has a fair chance.

I hope he avoids long rallies and tries to finish points up at the net, otherwise Nadal will wear him down.

I am already dreaming of a Roger/Rafa final in this AO. Rafa had the easiest draw in the history of easy draws any top seeded player has ever got, and now he gets to play the semifinals against an unseeded player who just happens to be on fire.

I love Rafa, I respect him but I will say this, if he manages to NOT get into this final after the god damned gift he got in this AO, then I just won't see him as the same player, Rafa is supposed to be good enough in hardcourt to make semis and even finals in grandslams and he never managed to do so, now he has this draw that looked more like a challenger type tournament and he even has an easy match in the semis. I don't care how good Tsonga is playing, he is still Tsonga and Rafa is the #2 player in the world.

Quite frankly, if he doesn't beat Tsonga, I will not se ehim as Roger's "nemesis" anymore (except in clay of course) and Djokovic will start stealing that title from him.

So I am almost positive Rafa will make this final. it's all in Roger's hands now.

If he plays the way he played in Shnagai against Nadal, Djokovic has no chance, no matter how well he plays but Roger has been crappy in this slam, after the Santoro win he started strugling with everything, his match against Blake, while solid, was nothing to be impressed about and at this level I am not sure he can beat Djokovic, maybe if he can outlast Djokovic as he seems to have horrible cardio and Roger is a cardio machine but skillwise, I see Djokovic a little bit better than Roger at the moment.

So in my mind we have two possibilities, Nadal vs Federer final, which would be AWESOME or Djokovic vs Nadal final which would quite simply suck and be anticlimatic.

If it happens to be Tsonga in the final .... bleh... even worst.

Yes, Nadal will beat Tsonga and the sun will rise in the east and set in the west.

Any more brilliant pearls of wisdom you would like to share with us, Einstein?
