What is wrong with this guy? First he writes the article after the Roddick-Kohl match where the only explanation for it is he was drunk while writing it and now he is bagging on Gasquet saying he wont ever get better, all this while saying Blake and Roddick have a chance to win the US open and Roddick's game keeps getting better and better

I was amazed at this too. Gasquet won't get better but Roddick will? I mean OK, Andy can improve but really, his statements are ridiculous.

While I think he's way off with Blake as a potential US Open champ, I have to defend him in one thing... I believe he was speaking about Tsonga when he was talking about him getting better and better.

He said that about Tsonga but also kept talking about how Roddicks game keeps improving

It was pretty funny when he asked Cahill if he though Blake/Roddick could win the US Open and Cahill quickly replied with a NO and Luke sounded shocked

What a tool.

Spadea has a better chance to win the USO then Blake.

It requires special glasses to comment that Gasquet plays a passive game and write before that about Roddick's attacking game.

Any chance one of the old timers who watched tennis in the mid-80s could shed some light on what happened to Jensen when he turned pro? From what I understand, he had a ton of potential and never lived up to it.

I'm curious as to why he failed to live up to the hype, given that he was considered more promising than the likes of Agassi, Sampras and Courier.

His time coaching Syracuse women's tennis was a disaster. He likes to forget that.

Well, I watched tennis in the mid 80s but I can't say I remember him being considered more promising than Agassi-Sampras-Courier. I think there was enough of an age difference that he wasn't compared directly with them that much, although I suppose he might have been expected to be the next big thing before people realized how good Agassi and Sampras were. Media and hype levels were a lot different back then though without the internet making everything snowball the way it does now.

Blake winning the U.S. Open with Federer around and Djokovic rising?

I would have laughed in his face.
