Ok guys, I know most of you don't like me, but I'm leaving Houston for London on Monday afternoon so lets talk about getting into the Championships.

What's the easiest way to get in other than the old Harry Potter trick where you transfigure yourself into a tennis ball(make sure its a slazenger) and then hope a muggle throws you into the grounds?

Also why does a wimbledon t-shirt cost 40 dollars, yet it's only 23 for a USopen t shirt?????

Where do the players hang out in London the few days before the championships????

How much do strawberries and cream cost at Cafe Centre Court.

What is the best transportation method to get the AELTC from central london other than apparation

Well I think the answers to most of your questions have been given in other threads, but in case you missed them:-

(a) Unless you know someone who can give you a Pass into Wimbledon, the only way to get in is to queue - sorry! To get into Centre or Number 1 court be prepared to get there no later than 6.00pm the night before the match you want to see and sleep on the pavement  For outside court access, get there at about 7.00am that morning. Ticket touts do sell tickets but security is really tight and you will probably get stopped and denied access.

(b) With the T-shirts - well it's a case of supply and demand I guess. Wimby is supposed to by "the" tournament (I don't actually agree even though I live live close by!) and it attracts tourists from all over the world - most of whom want some kind of souvenir from their trip. So while people are stupid enough to pay these kind of prices then that's why they are so high. If you buy "unofficial" merchandise from the stalls outside the grounds though, - it will cost you a quarter the price and no one will be able to tell the difference anyway.

(c) Strawberries and cream were about £5.00 last year - thats about 8 euros - sorry I don't know what it would be in dollars.

(d) To get to Wimbledon from Central London - take the District Line (green) line to Southfields, and it's about 10 minutes walk down the road.

Hope that helps and enjoy your trip.
