Hello all,

This will be (or could be) my first time at the Dubai toruney... and I was wodnering if you could help me with some info...

First: Does anyone know a hotel near the tennis !? If walking distance, much better.
Second: I understood in the site, the seats are "free", so, you just seat where you find a spot, is that correct ???

For those of you who have gone, do you recommend the tourney ? the city ? is it good ? fun ? easy ?

Could you meet the players !?

THANKS A LOT !!!!!! :)

1- Well there is a the grand hyatt hotel which is a pretty good hotel http://dubai.grand.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/index.jsp << for more info, its a great hotel , with a great atmosphere, and it is about 5-10 minutes from the tournament(depending on the traffic) but maximum 10 minutes and its by cab. Im not quite sure if u can go walking though because of the roads which can be very dangerous.

2- The seats are not for free,http://www.barclaysdubaitennischampionships.com/3/tickets.asp << here is info about the seats.

3- i think its a very strong field, and dubai is a nice city, and it would be good to visit the city sometimes;)

Thanks for the info.

I was trying to say the seats are not reserved, I know they are not free and you have to pay, but you wont have a reserved seat, that was what I was trying to say :)

Thanks for the info a lot! :)

I am also planning to go but the site says all the tickets are sold :o Could it be true? I watch Dubai every year and it usually looks like not very crowded, at least not until the semi-finals...

The agents now offer tickets for 5 times price... Do you think it's not too risky to go there without buying a ticket in advance, are usually tickets sold right before the matches?

Also, about the hotels... So, what is the area near the studium called? Are there hotels within walking disctance at all? The matches will finish very late, are cabs easily to find at night?

I will greatly appreciate any info! Thanks! :wavey:

Don't come here (Dubai) without a tickets... This year it seems it'll be impossible to get a ticket.

The area where the studium is located is called Al Garhoud.. The hotels closest to the stadium are probably Al Bustan Rotana, Millenium Airport, Sofitel City Center Hotel. But there are others as well.

Cabs are available all night. You can always order it, if you have a mobile phone.
