Stupid mtf  I already typed a longer text which wasnīt posted, so here we go again...

Birte I :hearts: your avy :D How traumatic was Tommy's first match  but he got there in the end :worship:

Yes, I think I would have died if I would have followed the match on tv...still canīt believe Tommy almost lost against this unknown German guy

As I was very late this morning I didnīt have time to check the result, but a nice friend texted me that Tommy won :)
So glad he is through and the next round just HAS to be easier :worship: I want him to reach the next weekend, cos then I can follow his match in the middle of the night ;) I love doing that, but only for the right guys of course :p

Okay Ali (and all the others), if mtf lets me post this message now, I will be really off to bed now  :wavey:

David had a nice easy opener :worship: winning 62 62 61 :worship:

From the main site

Australia's hope Lleyton Hewitt and fifth-seeded Spaniard David Ferrer also made impressive starts; Hewitt rolled to a 6-0, 6-3, 6-0 victory over Belgian Steve Darcis in just 77 minutes, while Ferrer dismissed Frenchman Edouard Roger-Vasselin, 6-2, 6-2, 6-1 in 87 minutes.

Ali - David will be fine - don't worry. I can't really say much here, but JM has some major problems both off the court and with his health, and he may not even be able to complete this match. It will be a walk in the park for David anyway I'm sure.

David won 6-3 6-4 ret v little Juan :D Rosie I hope it's nothing too serious wrong with him

American Vince Spadea earned a hard-fought 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, 2-6, 9-7 victory over Denis Gremelmayr of Germany to set up a third round match against Spanish No. 5 seed David Ferrer, who was leading Juan Martin del Potro by two sets to love when the Argentine retired with an injury. The 33-year-old Spadea first competed at the Australian Open in 1995 and achieved his best performance by reaching the 1999 quarterfinals (l. to Haas).

Can't reassure you on that one I'm afraid Ali. Physically he has bad back problems. An injury that was at first thought to be non-serious, turns out to be a possible hairline fracture to a vertebrae, that will almost certainly need surgery and at least 3 months off. Professionally, the wonderful guys in Team DP have called it a day with him - too long and complicated to go into here, except it was their decision, not his. And as for the rest - well it's not my business to put it all on a public message board  but let's say that he has one hell of a lot of growing up to do. I hope the enforced lay-off he may have to have this year will help him do that and come back a better and stronger player and person.
