Juan is playing Berlocq in the first round, which is a good thing I suppose.

But ... Fed is in his half, lol. & there's Berdych and Verdasco too.

Still, anything is possible and he seems to be fit & playing well lately. there you go :

[1]Federer vs Hartfield
Santoro vs Isner
Tipsarevic vs Sirianni
Ascione vs [25] Verdasco

[21] Monaco vs Berlocq
Kendrick vs Q
Hernandez vs Minar
Eschauer vs [13] Berdych

& good luck down under Pico!

Call me unrealistic, but I think he has a chance to come through his section. ;)

Juan is in the third round after beating Delic 6-3, 7-6, 5-7, 6-7, 8-6 :)

He had many opportunities to win earlier after the 2nd set. He took an advantageous position plenty of times only to be broken by Delic and levelling things. Glad he could finish the match with the win

Next up is Berdych. Pico will need to step up his game to beat him, but i think he can do it, Berdych isn't the most consistent player out there.
Good luck :yeah:

I hope he's not too fatigued from his match with Delic. He is one of the fittest players, and with a days break I don't think it should be much of a problem.

2 sets to 1 down now. :scared:

I think it's fair to say that Juan is a bit tired and I'm just happy with his efforts. He's proven that he's a threat at any tournament. :yeah:

Hey have all of you got room for one more? I never really knew who he was until I saw him practise with Ferrero during Day 1 of the Aus Open. Consequently I went to his match against Berlocq the next day, and I like what I saw. He seems like a really nice guy, and he's really really cute too. I'd like to follow his career a bit more closely from now on:)

You made a wise choice. ;) He's just on his way up now, because it took a short time for him to adapt to hard surfaces. He's always been a threat on clay and claimed 3 titles last year, but I expect some good results on all surfaces this year. Welcome aboard! :wavey:

Thank you:D I always knew he was a good player, but I don't think he's ever been on TV here, and I only knew the name, not the player. Thankfully I know better than that now. It seems like people who support Spanish players also tend to support the South American guys too. It's basically the same people in all the player forums. I like that though.

Hey Juanqui Lover, welcome to this forum :) Glad Juan has one more fan! Juan is very cute, indeed and he made lots of progress on the courts last year. I would have loved to see this practice as well, such nice two guys :)

Hi & welcome Juanqui Lover,

I like the tendency, too. I have to confess that I started following tennis because of Ferrero@RG2002... So I am glad to see he is back in the top 20.
I, too, follow a lot of Spanish and South American players - don't know why but I simply love them.

So, I am very, very jealous of you watching Juan & Juanqui practice... ;)

Thanks guys. Theres just something about the Spanish and South American players that make them so enjoyable to watch. They're whole game, and the whole latin thing is just great:D And they're all such nice people too
