Going to Kooyong or Aust Open?

Hi all...

Are there any forum members going to the upcoming Kooyong or the Australian Open tournaments?

Anyway, I'm just going to see when David is playing and if he's playing in the outside courts then I'll be getting day passes. If anyone else is going and wants to cheer for David together, let me know and we can meet there.

Too bad the Vodafone arena now has assigned seats and costs a heap more. I predict David will play most of his matches there.

BTW... Laptops will be banned from the Australian Open. Damn it, I was planning to bring mine and do work (ahem give tennis updates) from there.

Hi Tish, as I mentioned to you before, I will arrive in Melbourne this Sunday. I will contact with you once I get my Aussie mob number. As David's presence now is doubted, i could change my original schedule (stay shorter in Melbourne, and go to other cities), but it finally should be decided by his confirmation at end of this week. Let's keep finger crossed!!

As to Vodafone arena tickets, is there any chance to buy the tickets after the daily schedule is out? I think most of the fans would like to watch their favorites according to the daily match schedule. If you buy the tickets in advance, there's no possibility to know who you will watch in that day. Rod laver Arena tickets maybe too hot, but anyway I only want to buy the Vodafone tickets when the schedule is out, at least after the draw.

There are still tickets for Rod Laver or Vodafone during the first week so you can still risk it and wait until the schedule comes out. It's a risk though because they might sell out before the day. Because the tickets are so expensive, I plan to do exactly what you're doing and buying the tickets when I know when and where David is playing.

David is playing an Australian on the first round so it's highly likely that he'll be playing in Vodafone or Centre Court to cater for the local crowds.

I don't think he will be on Rod Laver Arena, that's probably where Federer, Hewitt and Baghdatis will play.

Me neither. Probably Vodafone. BTW, I've arrived in Melbourne today, but still fight with Optus to get my local mob number. Let's see the schedule of Tuesday and make the decision.

novarova - Welcome to Melbourne! I'll be there tomorrow so if you're going, send me a message and we can work out what to do for Tuesday.
