not really fond of the premise and how the plot went, it's similar to many other coming of age films, with protagonists learned from something they made bad decisions on.

but the cast are just great, esp. Mulligan and Alfred Molina. even Emma Thompson and Sally Hawkins are shining on their small roles.

I recently saw Fyra nyanser av brunt (Four Shades of Brown) for the first time since like three or four years. It's still very good. It's about four stories from Sweden showing everyday people as they live out their lives, and how they have to cope with dramatic changes. It has a dark, humourous and tragic tone to it.

Many voters probably decided to split by picking Lee for Direction and Crash for film in order to vote for both controversial topics adressed in the two movies. The academy was never that fond of love stories. What probably also played a role was that it was an incredibly strong year for Best Picture. Brokeback Mountain, Crash, Munich, GNaGL, Capote are all wonderful movies. So I guess there was quite some spreading. But it's all only looking for an explanation with BBM being the clear favourite. Glad you liked the movie so much, it's definitely a good one.:wavey:

but if my memory is correct, didn't "Titanic" won the best picture? Its also a love story and is no match with Brokeback Mountain coz the film relied on computer technology/glamourous settings etc to make the film watchable, the "love" between Jack and Rose is artificial :rolleyes:

Animation was solid, not Avatar level like, but OK..
As a fan of greek history and mithology I enjoyed it very much, of course it has a lot of unrealistic scenes, but it is an enjoyable movie to watch....

12 monkeys - simply amazing, the best role by Bred Pitt in his entire career 10/10
Leon - masterpiece by Luc Besson, great actor play by Reno, Portman and especially Gary Oldman 10/10
Clash of the titans - very average movie, did not impress at all, trailer was overally better than the whole movie, still some great special effects and beautiful actress 6/10
She is out of my league - very funny film, the girl is so beautiful, 7/10
Bounty Hunter - a couple of funny moments and that's it 6/10
Dorian Grey (with Ben Barnes)- a bit boring most of the time, still based on a legendary novel 6/10

:hug::hug: Jack suffered more in the beginning but in the long run, its Ennis who suffered coz he has to live without Jack, so if in that case, I would rather be Jack, I wanted to live forever in Ennis's heart:hearts: If you watch more carefully, actually Ennis also loves Jack a lot, just that the bad experience when his father forced him to look at the beaten to death gay man frightened him too much that made him reluctant to get further with Jack, you can see how happy he was when he saw Jack again after 4 years, its him who kissed Jack first, just that he is not the type who shows all his emotions like Jack, his passion is hidden inside:awww:
