Bad acting, no plot and only one good line of dialogue, "Are you out of your vulcan mind?" I doubt if Nimoy was even aware he was making a movie, he seemed so spaced (pun intended) out.

IN BRUGES had more entertainment in the opening title sequence.

Tomorrow I will follow the sheep (lambs?) to Angels and Demons. Since it is the silliest book ever written it will be my own fault for going. But maybe I will get some amusement out of religion being trashed.

:lol: I did go to see it on Sunday evening. A belated 16th birthday outing for the oldest with the family and then to his favorite restaurant. I really enjoyed it but then again I liked the first tv show with all the corny lines. And Spock acting human????? And kissing a woman???? Heavens. So now they have established a parallel universe to go off and change history as I know it :sad: ;) God I love it when you are cynical :hearts:

Might be difficult in Costa Rica. But I will look. Rotten Tomatoes gives it 93%, so it must be good. And I love a good whodunnit.

I watched The Happening yesterday because I was hungover and tired after a 4 hours drive and just not arsed leaving my chair or thinking.

well fuck me I would have to say that it is the single worst film I have ever seen. the acting really has to be seen to be believed and if anyone ever tries to tell me that Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch Wahlberg is a good actor again I'll probably be forced to beat the shit out of them.

It's just staggeringly bad.

I watched Closer as well which wasn't anywhere near as bad but still a pretentious, loathesome, shallow non-story about 4 thoroughly detestable characters.

The start is fuckin' amazing, the best part actually. The ending is pretty fine, but there's probably no way Tarantino will ever top the final sequence of Reservoir Dogs. However, I agree that IB could have been a bit shorter, there are some lengths in it.

Try to watch the first version, is a masterpiece by comparison

Last night for the second time "River's edge" (1986).
Previously I saw it around 10 years ago and was astonished. Still consider this film as one of most interesting films about teenagers.

Many times I have put this movie aside since seeing it was 2 1/2 hours long I thought it would definitely get boring at one point. What a mistake from me. This film was absolutely awesome. So beautiful (would have loved to live in Faraway Downs). Hugh Jackman made a great Drover their first meeting with Lady Sarah (Nicole Kidman) was priceless :D What a cultural shock for Sarah when she first arrived in Australia.
I loved the movie from the first to the last minute. Baz Luhrmann has done a great job.
