Jamie Delgado beat Taylor Dent today saving a match point in the second set before winning 5-7 7-5 7-6(3). Well done Jamie :D

Great win for Jonathan Marray as well over one of those Belgian twins.

Arvind should have won but he is a bit short of match play.

Grand results.

The Europsort site had listed the Delgado score as being 7/5 4/3 for Dent, so I'd assumed a retirement. Man, is that site shit at times.

Special well done to Jamie and Johnny who will play each other for the chance to take on Hewitt (most likely)!!! What a prospect, a lot of points for the winner's ranking and a lesson on how to play like a top 10 player, courtesy of Australia's finest! I just hope he doesn't school either Briton! :)

As for Greg and Arvind, good performances and yeah, we couldn't expect too much of either of them. Both were playing in-form opponents and Arvind was injured for 3 weeks and Greg was.....well Greg! :) But hearing about Arvind's 5/2 1st set lead did make me feel a little ill...given the fact that he took the 2nd set 6/1.

Good luck Ian Flanagan - he can shock Philippoussis so long as he concentrates on holding his own serve. If he stay with Mark somehow, then Flip may throw in a few double faults and hit the backboards a few times with his wild shots and the win is there for the taking. After all, Delgado proved he beat a monster of an opponent :)

yep good luck ian, i'm sure you can do this and take advantage of mark when he's down

shame about greg and shame that jon and jamie have to meet each other at this stage but at least we are assured of a second brit in the next round :D:D:D

The Dutch teletext conjured up an entirely new name..

Kelly Elena McCain (ITA)

A nice combination of Maria Elena Camerin (ITA) and Kelly McCain (USA)

And way to go Jamie and Jonathan! Travelling to Uzbekistan paid off for the latter ;) ANd it's great for Britain to have a British player in the 3rd round.. someone other than Henman.
