anyone learned some details about the match? don't u want to say sth about his performance?

too bad he didn't convert that matchpoint...
but he did save two (or three?) in the second set...
so i think its pretty ok for his first match on grass...

let's just pray that he'll not meet a good grass player like bjorkman in the
early rounds of wimbledon....

u are so optimistic, li'l red! in fact I was a little bit depressed when he lost... u know he always gets the tough draw. we cannot count on his fortune! but I think he had done all he could this match. hopefully he could be better in next tournament!

I'm sick of these loses. I have a feeling that it's not the blisters but the fact that he didn't play well himself.

:fiery: wasted!

Vass, i think there are a lot of factors coming together... and yeah 2 of them are him playing bad and also the blisters.
I saw the match from beginning until 1-4 in the first set (then the coverage did end) and Marat was making tons of errors, wasted the easiest balls and obviously not feeling comfortable. He called the trainer at 0-3 for the blisters again, they are not healed yet.

Well, it's clear he shouldn't have played in the 1st place!!!!! Let those blisters heal, d** it!!! Was it the appearance fee that made him play? And not playing next week - I guess no fat fee from Rosmalen: :o:

rosmalen is gonna turn out to be crap!

What a pity Maratski lost so early in Halle... so his blisters were still bothering him?? And he's not playing Rosmalen next week? Not the best prep for Wimby.

Come on, Marat, we want to see you winning!!!

im disappointed too you know, and i'm really hoping he could keep his head together and be at the top again.... before his fans get too tired of his losses (and sometimes excuses)... but i guess that's all we can do... hope hope and hope.. it's up to him if he really wants it.... :)

yeah i agree, we can't count on his fortune on getting easy draws..
actually im more nervous if he has an "easy" opponent... just look at what happened to that match against potito....

is it really a 100% sure that he's not playing rosmalen?

Yes, he still had the blisters, but he said he doesn`t want to use the blisters as excuse for losing, he didn`t lose because of them and they will be completly healed until Wimbledon... and i think we know the other reason ;)

Oh well, it`s very hard at the moment to see him like that :(

No, it`s not 100% sure. You can hope.

Andrea, what do you mean by the other reason (for his loss)?

Andrea, what do you mean by the other reason (for his loss)?

bad play, losing his head, beeing not really there in the match and all this, the same old story. all this up and down in a match and that`s all mental.

junekidd

u are right andrea. but now he lost again, and he unlikes grass more than before! so how do u think about his journey on wibmledon? what can we count on? no easy draw, no health, no well mentality, even no his interesting, we can hope what? I will support him as usual, but I also need some convincing reasons!

Oh, I hope he gets a decent draw at Wimby!!!!! No Bjorkman in the 1st rd please!!!!!!! :o

It's not the loss in so much, but the talk afterwards that gets me down. The grass/Wimby hate always depresses me, it's a lost cause before he starts. To think of how motivated he was just in the beginning of the year...
