There was a bit of brainfart in the middle of the second set. But he managed to win it. :bounce: Blake is out now.

Wow, we finally have two baby balls fighting for an important match. Let's see who blinks fast.

I am indifferent as to who should get in. Gasquet has had a few good runs this year, but if he can't take advantage of a homecrowd to win the next match then ..... well, I am looking forward to it.

That was a very good match i thought, especially at the beginning of the second set (the very long game at 2-0 for Richard in the second set was full of magnificent points from both players) :)
Blake played well overall(if you except some stupid UEs) but Richard was better
I was a bit afraid for Richard in the middle of the second set,he looked a bit tired and disinterest but fortunately,he woke up.
Murray vs Gasquet will be a fascinating match

Gasquet played very well. Beautiful tennis from both players. Blake was inconsistent.

From the start to 64 21 was some of the best tennis Richie's produced in AGES(#@%ju)(

Then, yes, stupid errors, but he played very well again in the last few games.

Second Masters QF for the year! Murray/Gasquet showdown, omfg, that is going to be so good.

Blake >>>>> out of the game, out of the elite. From here on out it's 20-30 in the ranking for Blake. He had his chance, ultimate MUG.

:woohoo: Richard. More to come. Great play early in the second set, then a bit of a lapse, but solid in the end. Not all french players are chokers, guys, will you finally grasp that? :p

Very impressive from Richie today. Obviously I would prefer Andy to win tomorrow, but if Richie is in that form it would be really tough. I wouldn't be overly upset if Gasquet made TMC to be honest, just a shame both of them can't get in.

Well done, Richie.:worship:

It's very strange with Gasquet, when he's on he produces some of the most beautiful tennis and his forehand can be very deadly when he's on the run, one of the best in the game actually but ugly most of the time but even when he's on, you always get the feeling that he can lose his concentration for no reason at all as it happened after he had a 2-0 lead in the second set. The home crowd was able to pull him through in the end though.

A little brain fart from Richie in the middle of second set but he pulled himself together beautifully. No choking this time (at least not by the Frenchman, Blake slipped up the some critical points) - just good fighting and beautiful to watch.

Keep that mindset next match Richie cuz you are going to need it. Oh I SOOOO hope Gasquet can beat the whiner. It will be a good match and just depends on which Baby Ball caves in.

Indeed... I'd rather see them both at the TMC than certain players who've already qualified. Well, that's the way it works, alas.

Richard was far superior tactically and was the deserved winner, Blake did not have a clue as to how to approach this match and he paid the price.

I only saw part of the match but saw a nice Richard bh downtheline shot  It's nice to see him doing well on French soil. It'd be nice if he won the tournament (but unlikely).

Thank god the ultimate mug Blake is no longer in contention. Murray will finish off this other mug tomorrow.

Hmmm couple of corrections. It's richard's backhand that is wonderful (although his forehand is nice too but much less consistent and less devastating). Yes, Blake is the ultimate mug along with Canas but Murray is not far behind. Both Murray and roddick are almost as big of jerks as Blake and Canas.
