Can the country be changed into "Taiwan", the only reason the name "Taipei" or "Chinese Taipei" is used is because of political pressure from communist China. Taipei is the capital of Taiwan, Kaohsiung is a city in Taiwan.

OK, I'll change since ATP has as Taiwan.

They also have the name "Formosa" for the island, which means "beautiful" in Portuguese.

You reminded me of what happened to me 2-3 months ago...
I failed to take 900 euros (and maybe more, cause I would continue...) in a quizz I took part in:sad:
The question was: what's the other name for Taiwan?
I said : Chinese Taipei, and the answer was Formosa
I thought I was right, cause when we played at World Volleyball Championship vs. Chinese Taipei , Taiwan was writen in the brackets.

Now I know, but it's too late :sobbing: :smash:

I am very surprised more and more foreigners understand the situation and the difference between Taiwan and China.

Dudi Sela is in superb form, but his choice of Stephen Amritraj as doubles partner was an inspired one. Stephen is indeed a chip of his dad Anand's block -- an excellent doubles player. He has won 3 Futures doubles titles this year (two in India, one in Canada), and made the semifinal of two Challenger doubles -- in Fergana (May) and Calabasas (last month).
A title here, however, might still not qualify as his biggest doubles achievement. In 2002 (when he was 18), he and cousin Prakash Amritraj made the semifinal of the ATP tour event in Los Angeles, beating Sandon Stolle and partner in R1 and Kevin Ullyett and partner in the QF. Stephen went back to finish college, and was out of the circuit for most of 2003-05, then injured in 2006. But this year has been a good comeback year for him in doubles.

TankingTheSet

I think De Voest/Duclos will win the doubles -- they beat some of the better competition in this poor doubles field, while Sela/Amritraj played poor teams and made hard work of their wins. Also Dudi will be tired from his final (which could be a battle).

No scoreline concerning Dudi Seal should surprise no one.

His ability to be inconsistent is unbelievable high, second only to surprising in being two or three tourneies successful.

I see as a great achievemnet what Dudi has done this year, climbing 200 places at the rankings.

What I cannot accept is using the "fatigue" as an excuse.
I think his rival played the same amount of matches ( although less games and sets because he won more easily ).

But nevertheless, chapeaux for his apperance in a final
