I cannot remember the season in which so may top players played in all GS and TMS tournaments

If nothing changes till tomorrow, they are:

Federer
Nadal
Djokovic
Ferrer
Gonzalez
Robredo
Ljubicic
Berdych
Gasquet
Moya
Youzhny
Chela
Baghdatis
Ferrero
Verdasco
Nieminen
Almagro
Tursunov

Stepanek and Safin just missed the list, as they didn't play only in Bercy. Is it some symptom of new times or something else ?

Has abolishing 5 set finals worked?

Is this related to the bonus system?

A combination of the byes in the TMS events, best of 3 finals, and the bribes to the top 4 to appear in both Madrid and Paris.

It's not been popular in some quarters of fandom but it's clearly worked.

Probably you both are right

I guess that is the key measurement.

Well I guess it depends what you mean by "worked" - if that is "getting the top players to play as many of the top events as possible" then yeah it's worked like a treat.

Others would argue that the changes made have been a price too high to be worth paying and have cheapened some aspects of the sport.

And is it positive for Roddick that he missed 4 out of 9 TMS and still is ranked in Top5 or is this just a question of all those others sucking in majority of these tournaments they participated in ? (and I am not a Roddick fan, it's just a question)
