I really do not understand what has happened that the match in Lyon between Fabrice Santoro and Sebastien Grosjean could be suspended at 10:15 pm French time. Something very odd must have taken place. Can anyone shed some light on this.

Maybe that is the problem - shedding of light. I remember the Mons Challenger a couple of years ago being suspended because all the lights went out

Shouldn't happen at an ATP tournament, but still. . .

A technical problem (apparently something wrong with the electrical system), they say the audience has been evacuated.

:D That would be a great thread...'It shouldn't happen in an ATP tournament, but....'

An indoor tournament having a rain delay would be one, as would the whole sprinkler sprinkling on the court thing.

However, I fear the whole thread would degenerate into another match-fixing debate. But maybe it's a thread to consider off-season!

I would cut out the smileys, it could be something bad (injuries), we don't know...

None of the smileys are linked to the question in the original post...

A short-circuit, they don't know the cause yet, still no light in Gerland.

Sounds benign.

Apparently the lights are back and they are going to restart the game.

Actually there was a rain delay on an indoor tournament last year and I think it was in Madrid (but in the WTA YEC.

There was a small hole in the roof and it started raining on that part of the court.

:D I remember! Thanks: I couldn't recall which match. It was WTA Dubai with the crazy cat on the court too, right?

Man, it really shouldn't happen in a tennis match...

I remember in Umag 10 years ago during the match between Moya and Haarhuis the elecrits has buged and the stadium was in dark.
