Hi mhm - as Jazz-Girl says - David's grandparents were from Armenia (hence the name). And no - he is not Jewish.

hey, welcome.......:D think it's a big difference between those two, as Armenia is a Christrian country, so he shouldn't be a jewish;) but don't know if he is a christrian or not

novanora is right, but at the same time you can be also both... if your mom is jewish and dad is armenian, for example.. but who knows what david is..
i've heard on t.v. that he was jewish too but whatever... lol...

Well - I'm still not convinced about the Jewish bit - David went to a Catholic school in his home village and until recently wore a gold crucifix on a chain around his neck. He also went to the Vatican to meet the Pope in Rome recently. Whatever the truth is I think it is a private matter for him anyway. He definately has an Italian mother though, and his paternal gradfather was from Armenia.

hello all! i'm kinda new here. i haven't posted yet. i was just looking around, getting sure it's all fine and you're all friendly, which you are.:)
i think i can enlighten you a bit about Armenian and Jewish people. they don't have much in common. Armenians are orthodox christians, like Bulgarians, Greeks and Russians, for example, but they have quite a different calendar. nevertheless an Armenian may be Jewish.
i don't know how is it about david. as rosie already said it's a completely "private matter"!

that is true, and maybe its just better that he tries to keep things private
