Now the big fight to the end. I hope Murray can sneak a position in there, even as an alternate.

As expected, although he was supposed to be #3. Now it's not sure if he'll be @ 5th spot. Anyway, no one can deny he deserved it (Aus : SF, Wim : QF, US : QF, Queens, Washington)

Will he show up? Or is he saving himself for DC?

Gonzalez out of contention?

I really hope Haas gets a spot.

Roddick? I definitely think he will show up. There's a chance to get a heap of points, and he has overall very good records against most of the Top 8 who are likely to be there. Why should he not go?
I hope he goes, it would be a shame if he defaulted where he can do pretty well. He did very well last year, just came up short by, well by a point.

No, he is in fact ahead. Gonzo is at 343. But he has more points separating him from the next guy (Haas), than the next guy has from the NEXT EIGHT GUYS! So I left him out of that list. I hope he can go. It would be a Well Finish Fena, to the Well Start Fena.

Well there was a question about whether he was going to go, that's what I was answering

I guess mirkaland could have a point, in that he had not locked up his position to go to Shanghai but still opted out of Madrid (and other tournaments).

Ferrer has officially qualified. Gonzalez has not. There are 15 points between Gonzo and Haas, and 15 points between Haas and the next 7 guys. Nothing is certain, because a 15 point deficit is not too large to overcome with a good showing like QF/SF in the next several weeks.

Roddick opted out of Madrid because getting there conflicted with his big charity event in Austin.
