Straight set victory for Coria or biggest win of Henman's clay-court career....

it will be close, Henman is playing some phenomenal tennis at the moment, I've gone off Coria as he doesn't wear the barricades anymore, he wears Golf shoes on court. It depends all upon how well Tim plays. If he plays well and gets into the net off GOOD balls he can win, but coria is very consistent and confident on clau so it could go either way.

One thing to say: DON'T MISS IT FOOLZ!

Coria in 3 sets. Henman is easier than Moya, and Coria is in his best moment.

No way Henman could beat him

Refer my new thread (which will be very popular among Willie and Carito etc!!!) for my argument that Henman can beat Coria and reach the final.

I believe Henman can beat Coria. Why? You can't discount Timmy "The Hustler" Henman's game on clay! His strokes are great, his volleys are the best in game, and his confidence couldn't be higher.

Henman has the best volleys on the tour. Henman has great feel and reflexes much like the slazenger insignia that is painted on his racquet(a cat). Henman's ROS is great on clay and has worked very well for him over the last couple weeks. Henmans groundies are as consistant and menacing as ever, they are probably the most underated on the tour just because everyone does look at his volley skills so much.

Just remember, you doubters, you don't get to the semis of any Slam by sucking on that surface, infact you have to be pretty damn good on the stuff....good enough to beat the best clay courter on the tour...we'll have to watch the match to find out!
Go Timmy "The hustler"!!

Henman "The Hustler"? I like it. :D He should be named this every clay court season from now on...

OMFG you don't know shit. Henman easier than Moya, in your dreams. I while a go yeah, but not know, Henman is playing way better. I ask you may demented friend, where Henman is ranked and where Moya is ranked?

Coria can do things with the ball you can only dream about

he's 10 times faster than Chela, and bringing Coria into net wont be as effeictive
also Coria can pass on both sides in his sleep

he also returns 10 times better than Chela.

Henman will have to play like today and only 5-10 times better to have a hope.

While I don't share your ire, I agree that Henman will likely be tougher than Moya. Coria said it himself - he knows how to play Moya. In fact, apparently he also said that he'd rather have played Moya in Monte Carlo instead of Schuettler

OK - take this then!! Henman will leapfrog both Ferrero and Moya in the rankings now. Coria has to deal with Henman being provisionally 4th in the entry rankings if Nalbandian loses to Guga tomorrow. What's your point? :)

I don't think that COria cares much what Henmans ranking is, somehow ;)

I don't think any player ranked above Tim will really care that Henman is ranked #4:D

IMO Coria will probably win in straight sets. However, I think that Henman will make him fight for those sets, and if Henman manages to snatch the first then perhaps he could go on to win if he played at his very best.

MOst likely COria will win cos Tim will have met his match... but then again, anything can happen in a slam... look at Verkerk last yr... flukey or what!? and annoying...

For Henman to win this match he must stick to the serve and volley game cause he can't beat Coria from the baseline. Henman needs like 70% first serves here to win. Henman must remember to hit his approach shots down the middle to take away the angles from Coria

Even 70% first serves isn't enough. You saw Chela - he stood 6 ft behind the baseline and returned most of his serves. Coria will do that too. Tim has to go for everything and hope that his attempted clean winners land in the court...

Thanks TennisLurker. Coolness is a virtue.

Anyway, TimmAY is looking good ya know. He's NOT to be taken lightly. *sighs* That's all I can say. Go Guille.

As far as I know Henman already did beat Coria on clay once.

Somebody said that Henman will have to play ten times better then against Chela to bit Coria.

Does that mean that Coria is ten times better now then a few years ago?

imagine henman making into a clay grand slam final after losing 4 grass sf's.... i would find that bizare!! (as Kafelnikov would say)

also for coria fans, 1 good thing if guillermo wins this sf, he will win rg, traditionally who beats henman in a SF wins the slam :)

Any sport involiving England versus Argentina just brings the worst out of both sides. Especially when the stakes are high. I hope the rest of the world understands.... and forgives. As for the obnoxiousness, I can certainly do without it. I mean come on, Tim and Coria are both excellent tennis players with GSlam potential. ( Though if I had my way, I'd give Coria RG and Tim Wimby ;) )

Let's just hope they'll give us a classic as Arg. vs England has in other sports. ;) :yeah:

forget this shit with england vs. argentina! i don't think they will think about it cos they're pros and they'll concentrate to win not to gain revenge on each other's country.
