Nalbandian overcomes Clement 5:7 6:2 6:4

Nalbandian was 5:2 in the first, but then managed to lose as 5:7.
However he at last found himself since then. Berdych is waiting.

he was 40 then had 0 30 or 15 30 and some deuces to make it 50 then 51

and lost 75 :o the most impressive for him were his 14 aces including

one to close the match and just 4 dfs

Strange match.

David was very solid in the second and third sets, though. Good job after that hot mess he made of the first. 4-0 and loses it 5-7? Ouch.

Vamos David :yeah:

I hope he comes back to form ;)

Vamos was about time...

Nalbandian used to be one of my favorite players, sadly he's slowly but surely slipping down the rankings...never won a slam either...what a waste of such a great talent.

Yeah, that running forehand passing shot to save that break point was crucial.

He steadied himself nicely in the second and third sets. I didn't expect that given how he blew that first set.

BTW is it true that clemet will retire after TNS Paris

David's collapse in the 1st set was disastrous, but full credit for him to recovering so well from that setback.

10-16-2007, 06:09 PM

keep going David, pleeease. :)

Good win for Nalbandian, but he is going to need a great week to minimise his Madrid points coming off from last year.

It would be great if Nalbandian wins a TMS. It would be very stranga at this time of his carreer, but he deserves it.

Good Luck !!

I still love to see him kick some ass:)
