Congrats Coria and to all of his fans!

my heart was with Carlos, but I just have to accept that Guille's match was a perfect masterpiece with almost no errors and he had the better answers to almost every shot of Moyá.

Coria <--- :worship:

well, no problem losing to Coria, but the way you did made me feel sad. Instead of going up 2-0 sets serving for the sets in set 1 and 2, you choked and lost serve and control pathetically.

all right, I don't mind, I will get over it soon, and hopefully you, too! Carlos :smooch:

Well, Moya made 56 unforced errors and Coria won 117 points during the whole match so... you know, I saw the match and Coria was not attacking a lot, he was playing as usual: running a lot, reaching almost every single ball and waiting for the opponent's ue or, sometimes, only sometimes, hitting a winner.... but definelty, his kind of game consist a lot on waiting for unforced errors and not missing a lot, not making himself many ue's.

And what made me really angry was the fact to see Moyá twice serving for the set and losing both... damnn!

Moya hit only 10 more winnern than Coria....in a 3 set match....it´s not a big difference.
So...if 2 guys get similar amount of winners and one of thes guys makes 2 unforced erros by winner and the other only one.... then the difference between them is QUALITY
by the way....I hear you say that Coria plays defensive...but the i see the match and i realize that Moya is slicing the ball during the whole 3rd set......funny

Moya certainly had his chances and to win such a match he would have to take advantage of every opportunity. Moya's backhand got exposed and just to many unforced errors from the forehand side to take this match.

Unsurprising, but disappointing match today (at least for me).

Coria was so awesome though that he even hit a beautiful drop volley winner with broken strings. Moya just looked at him and laughed in disbelief.

But Carlos is definitely kicking himself now for blowing both sets when he served for them. He had his chances, but didn't convert.

Actually that isnt suprising, since he was missing so much with his usual topspin shots, it seems that Moya decided to just get the ball in play by using the slice.

NO, thats not what happened. :( Carlos lost this match, Gullie didnt win it. This was no asskicking. It was tight in the 1st 2 sets which Moya should of won both of. Maybe someday Carlos, :bigcry: You'll put it together. :) But Perhaps this is wishful thinking. :o

For me the key was Moya's backhand. He started off badly with it, not that he's good at it anyway, but soon lost all confidence in using it. So he ran round the forehand always which was unforgivable as it gave the fastest player in ATP, Coria all the time in the world to prepare for the shot. Simply an impossible tactics making it so much easier for the Argentine. These winners Moya hit like this, with Coria prepared, were absolutely spectacular, otherwise he wouldn't have won them. Moya could have done much better but in the end he lost because he is a too one-sided player.
