Okay, I know, there's supposed to be two more tournaments to go.

But Nico should just go home and think about 2008.

I'm ignoring these last two tournaments. :tape:

2007 has been a nightmare.

In 2008, Nico needs to get a new coach and a whole new strategy.

So here's the theme song for 2008:

;)

I was about to say that we need vacations of this but actually we have only suffered like one day every week and that's all :tape: I feel like if the off season would have started since the midle of the year for him  I can't remember when was the last time that I follow more of one match every 7 days :sobbing:

This can't be the end!! he has to come back no matter if this means that I should stop following him for being the big jinx :bigcry:

That's why I like it too - Nico must get back up again. Tennis won't be the same unless he's there in the mix of things.

I know...

kidnicky
10-15-2007, 03:48 PM
I don't even have an idea who could be a good coach for Nico  .. but they should know more about coaches available than us :p .. but I don't have my hopes too high about a change in that matter :retard:

you know who I miss so much?? :awww:  ... I don't know why and I even have not seen Nico without him :rolls:

NicoFan
10-15-2007, 03:55 PM
I miss Gaby too. It's a shame that it didn't work out between them. He was so good to Nico. And contrary to opinion by la familia de tenis , he was an excellent coach.

A lot of this is Nico. Just his comments about Gaby show that he isn't really looking for the "right" things from a coach. A coach isn't a buddy to travel the world with. A coach is a person who kicks your butt so you'll win. A person like Jimmy who says - losing is not an option.

I don't know who is available. I can only hope that he'll chose a coach for the right reasons this time. And get someone who will kick his butt.

NicoFan
10-15-2007, 03:56 PM
(And get an American so I can see him more.  )

kidnicky
10-15-2007, 04:07 PM
Well la familia del tenis can kiss my .... ... he is a great coach no matter what they say, he is a coach and he did a good job also taking care of the boy, we know how crazy Nico drove him during all these years, nobody else would have stay all that time with Nico

and you know that I totally agree with you about the rest :rolls: ... but anyway it's a mu point to keep talking about this :p

the only thing that I want if he gest a new coach is that he never skips the LA swing, he can go wherever he wants after that

NicoFan
10-15-2007, 04:37 PM
I know that it's a moot point but I can't help myself. I'm worried that he's going to stay with Pato and Nano. :tape:

And I agree about the LA swing...he has to do that, and I doubt that he would ever not play in those tournaments. It makes me really annoyed with the LA players don't bother to support those tournaments. :(

kidnicky
10-15-2007, 04:58 PM
he can keep Nano as his travel buddy  but he needs another coach not Pato for godnesake :tape:

I also doubt that he ever thinks about skipping the LA tournaments but I can't help myself and I'm always worried about that  we only have that month of tournaments here and that's it, nothing for the rest of the year :awww: and I agree with you about the LA players not supporting those tournaments, I mean the ones that have a "good ranking" always sing up and withdraw at the last minute and you only see the announcement on a newspaper when you arrived to the tournament, I won't mention names :tape: ... it's hard to believe that someone like JCFerrero and Moya are the ones that you can see on those tournaments except our well ranked players :p

NicoFan
10-15-2007, 08:16 PM
I won't mention names either. ;)

It is really annoying.

And I love Carlos and JC because they come to LA. A  and a  for both of them. :yeah:

kidnicky
10-15-2007, 10:04 PM
yes it is annoying, is not like I'm going to die if they don't show up, I'm happy with one there  but for the rest of the people that pay to go to see them and they barely can see them walking to go to the press conference when they're lucky enough

Carlos is a sweetheart and I've to say that I fall in love of JCF for coming this year, great tennis in all of his matches and the semi between both of them was amazing :worship: ... and he is cute too btw :p

NicoFan
10-15-2007, 10:58 PM
Both Carlos and JCF are sweetiepies and cutiepies! :yeah:  Especially when their hair is a bit longer. :yeah:

Hi everyone! :wavey:

I know I'v been away Nico's forum for suuuuch a loooong time and I'm really sorry about that  but my live has been crazy these last months but I'm glad things are better now and I'm not that busy too. Too bad this happens when the season is almost over though ... :awww:

Still I'v been following Nico's results and really this is just a year to forget about ... he has to put it behind and let's hope he'll come back next year as the Nico we all know.

I wish him the best of lucks for next year! :yeah:

it's better if I don't read that

I copied this from alexito's thread, the ranking of the LA's players ... I know that I don't have to check the ranking thing but this is I don't know "hillarious"?? :p

LOS MEJORES LATINOAMERICANOS
14. Guillermo Cañas (ARG) 1.678
17. Juan Ignacio Chela (ARG) 1.455
20. Juan Mónaco (ARG) 1.385
21. David Nalbandian (ARG) 1.375

51. Juan Martín del Potro (ARG) 654
66. Sergio Roitman (ARG) 582

86. Mariano Zabaleta (ARG) 476
98. Alejandro Falla (COL) 430
100. Juan Pablo Brzezicki (ARG) 419

Roitman, Berlocq, Vassallo Arguello with better ranking than Nico :retard: and those guys are playing the Petrobras tour :p ... okay I won't say anything more :tape:

Fergie
10-29-2007, 03:09 PM
Even (Crap)Berlocq has a better ranking than Nico, that's is a bad signal

NicoFan
10-29-2007, 03:32 PM
That article in unbelievable.

It looks like he is going to stay with Pato and Nano. And he thinks that he is playing well. :haha: And AMAZINGLY IT SEEMS AS IF HE'S NOT GOING TO MAKE ANY CHANGES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's time to find another player to root for. This is total bs.

I don't know if I would call his refusal to play in challengers despite his horrid ranking "hilarious" - I would go more with questionable and confusing.

kidnicky
10-29-2007, 03:43 PM
for me it's hilarious, I'm druged remember? :silly:

NicoFan

I don't think that I will ever think of it as hilarious.

It's sad.

And I'm tired of following it.

kidnicky
10-29-2007, 04:09 PM
I said that I'll give him another chance for the next year, for me this year has ended long time ago and I preffer to not pay attention to that kind of information, it's not healthy for me to get angry or sad for that kind of articles  ... I'm gonna rest and get ready for the next year :o

You've better things to do than getting angry or sad for this NicoFan, try to forget it, I know it's hard but try it

NicoFan
10-29-2007, 04:36 PM
I do have better things to do.

I'm going to give it until the end of offseason.

kidnicky
10-29-2007, 04:40 PM

NicoFan is in denial :tape:

Don't waste your time thinking about it, Nico won't change his coachs (sadly)

kidnicky
10-29-2007, 04:48 PM
yes I've told her that like 3 times but she doesn't listen to me :banghead:

NicoFan
10-29-2007, 04:54 PM
Well then I guess I have to find a new favorite player. :haha:

Cuz I'm not going through this again next year. It's too loco.

And if he stays with Pato and Nano, he'll be out of the top 100 by the end of February.

kidnicky
10-29-2007, 05:12 PM

Thanks for understanding Felipe :p ... is just that I didn't see the point to post the top ten list since all of us know that

yes Sparko, to bad that we still have to work no matter how much rain we are having, the airport was closed this afternoon and there are tons of people working evacuating homes and getting ready for the worst, and it's still raining :rain:

Of course this month we buy our Roland Garros tickets! :woohoo:

I know NicoFan, I've got the same feeling once in a while, when you need at least some days off, it's kind of desperating :retard: ... but think that we'll be buying those tickets ;) which reminds me that we'll have to talk soon about our plan for that :p

Thanks RogiFan  ... hopefully the worst has already passed but the hopes are not that high about it

NicoFan
10-31-2007, 04:37 PM
:wavey: RogiFan!!!

We do have to talk about a plan. I'll visit the RG web site this weekend and find out how we go about buying the tickets and when actually they go on sale. I'm sooo excited. Me, NicoFan, at Roland Garros! :woohoo: Seeing Nico and Rafa and Fernando and Feli and Fer and all my favorites on clay!!! :bounce:

And seeing Kid again and meeting all our French friends. :yeah:

We also have to talk about the other "issue". We have all off season though.

NicoFan
10-31-2007, 04:38 PM
Oh and Kid - we have to learn (for me re-learn) some French between now and then.

The French don't like it when you kill their language. :tape: :haha:

kidnicky
10-31-2007, 04:53 PM
please don't remind me about the french language, I freak out just to know that I don't speak a single word of the language and thinking that a lot of frenchies will be yelling at me :scared: :p

You're gonna love to finally see tennis live on clay! :yeah: ... and the first part of the plan is that I need to know how many days are you going to stay and when will be you arriving, that's important for me so we can know for which days do we have to ask tickets :p

Sparko1030
10-31-2007, 05:55 PM
 The flooding! I'm very glad you live on the high ground Kid-I feel bad for those who don't.

:bounce: I'm so happy for you Kid and Nicofan-finally going to RG!!! I dont' think it will matter much if you speak good French or not ;)

(:secret: the reason the US is changing back to standard time one week late this year is its an attempt by our Pres to save energy-although I don't see how it saves when we still have to use lights in the morning becuase its so dark  And now kids will be going tricks or treating an hour later on a school night  )

kidnicky
10-31-2007, 06:24 PM
I'm okay but there are tons of people that are not that okay but thanks for your concern Sparko

so that's the reason of the time changing? actually we started to change times because of the same reason which I think it was quite stupid since you still have to use the energy for one more hour that could be in the morning or in the afternoon :cuckoo: I preffer this time since I wake up and it's already morning, which means that I can see light :rolls:

NicoFan
10-31-2007, 07:31 PM
It does matter Sparko - we're going to get yelled at if we don't learn some French. :scared:

I should be used to it since they yelled at me in Spain too.

When I was coming home from work today, I heard this song. It's the song from a couple of years ago on American Idol when someone was voted off. It reminded me of Nico.

But instead of Had a Bad Day...it's Had a Bad Year.

He can sing this song and feel sorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry for himself through the off season, but then he has to start kicking ass. :fiery:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBziW9qQvsc

Where is the moment we needed the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to gray
They tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin' on

You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile with the coffee you go
You tell me your life's been way off line
You're falling to pieces every time
And I don't need no carryin' on

Because you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

Will you need a blue sky holiday?
The point is they laugh at what you say
And I don't need no carryin' on

You had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day

(Oooh.. a holiday..)

Sometimes the system goes on the blink
And the whole thing turns out wrong
You might not make it back and you know
That you could be well oh that strong
And I'm not wrong

(yeah...)

So where is the passion when you need it the most
Oh you and I
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost

Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
You've seen what you like
And how does it feel for one more time
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

 Thanks Nicofan  We had a great Halloween :yeah: Hope you did too. The girls had great costumes (Ellie a fire fairy and Lizzie a dragon) and they got way toooooo much candy, but that's what its all about (thank goodness they never eat it all-they had candy yet from last year :) )

And what fun for you too Nicofan-I love seeing all the kids and their costumes :D

:ras: to all the rain :rain: you're getting Kid. I will send you some candy with the other stuff-I have a lot left over and I cannot/should not eat it all

Thank goodness we had so many kids because that means less candy in the house for me to eat. We only have a few pieces left.

 to Kid. I wish you could send your rain to our Southern states...they have a terrible drought.

kidnicky
11-01-2007, 02:48 PM
we're thinking the same about the rain yesterday :rain:

the situation doesn't seem that good here, it seems that we're on a war zone with all the helicopters and big trucks from the navy and the army, you can see people everywhere walking with bag and suitcases with the only things that could rescue from their houses that now are below water ... we are declared as a disaster zone

kidnicky
11-01-2007, 04:32 PM
it is awful, I'm on a higher ground but we don't have water since yesterday night, my aunt with 3 of my cousins are already on our house, everybody is shoping what they can find, no bread or eggs on the markets right now. At our house are like 6 cars parked because if you leave them you lost them below water in some areas. My mother and brother barely could pass to their house yesterday, they're okay but the road is like trying to cross a river, it is a chaos around here.

Maybe he's gotten used to losing?

I'm sure that it's all for the money - he hasn't won anything for months so I'm sure the cash flow is a bit down. And they get lots of money to play in exhibitions.

Plus would Nico give up a chance to be in his beloved Europe? His heaven, his promised land...

I still say that he's not serious at all about coming back. He's now in this for any extra money he can get and the models. Whatever...his career. I've now got Andy as my backup favorite. (No more Europeans and South Americans...I want a red, white and blue American who plays in our tournaments so I can see them live now and again. ;) )

It's not a problem for him - he can like whatever region of the world he wants to like. :)

But as a fan, I get to choose who I want to root for. I will always root for Nico, but I have a backup now. I used to like Rafa too, but he hates coming to the US. And I'm ti-red of paying a lot of money to watch my #1 and #2 favorites look like they would rather be anywhere else in the world after I've just spent months looking forward to seeing them in person

Especially since it's like pulling teeth to get Nico here to the U.S. As I said, he played like 4 tournaments here in 2007. Wow...I hope he didn't overextend himself having to play here such an extraordinary amount of time.

I'm odd that way...I actually would like to SEE my favorites every now and again. ;)

So my new #2 favorite is Andy.  He likes it here, and wow he actually plays here. And when I see him live in person, he's a happy camper. It's like a miracle after watching Nico and Rafa. ;)

The only new news is that he's actually playing a challenger. :yeah: Finally...

Link en espanol: http://www.latercera.cl/medio/articulo/0,0,3308_5832_314299220,00.html

An interview in latercera.cl:

Barely he finished his participation in Paris-Bercy, Nicolas Massú left course for the Caribbean. [Hmmm then why did EF and others see him in Paris long after he lost???] He longed for to be thrown in the beach and to forget the season that tennis had arrived at its end. And thus, first in Cancun and later in Cuba, could leave behind a year of which does not keep very good memories.

The tennis player is in Santiago and Wednesday travels to Spain to play an exhibition where emphasizes Rafael Nadal. Later will leave to Aracaju, Brazil, where will be one of the eight players that will be the Masters Cup Petrobras, since December 2.

Did you feel relief when played the last match in Paris?

I do not know if it was relief, but I finished calm, because I didn't play badly the last matches. It was the most difficult year of my career. All what happened at the beginning of season, with the final that I lost in Vina and later the loss in Davis Cup before Russia, marked me. I lost many matches that would be able to have won and they had changed the history. But I finalized with the motivation in high and with desires to begin 2008.

What counts is that finished 79º, ¿believes that is reflection of the year?

It does not reflect. The ranking is a question for the time being. I am with desires, testing racquets, seeing how will I do the pre-season, I am well physically. I am not tired neither of the hotels, neither of the trips. I know that I can be again among the 20 better, because I have not lost the level.

Still it thinks about that can do somewhat important in a Grand Slam, for example, or believes that its reality today is another?

I never focus on a single tournament. Four they remain me or five years playing tennis and I am going to treat that they be better and better. There are many South American that without a lot more tennis than I they descended to 80 and they are back. And it is because they found the regularity that this year lacked me me to. Canes, Chela, Monaco they were not up and today they are it. I know that I can also return.

If you don't enter Auckland and would leave the year in a challenger (Sao Paulo). How do you take this situation?

I do not like to play challengers, but I need to add points since the first week, because do not I want to play the qualifying in Miami and Indian Wells. I want to return quickly to be inside the 50 and to be able to play the Masters Series of the first semester. They are the consequences of the descent in the ranking, that also they had it playing classifications in Masters Series...

It is what touches me. It is not something to what is giving him many returns. Who was going to think in his moment that Juan Carlos Ferrero, champion of Roland Garros, he would have that to play qualies in Hamburg, and he did it. He does a pair of years that he was seeded in Paris and Madrid and now I had to play qualifiers. They are moments that one must know to surpass, as I will neither be crazy if I leave the top 100.

11-26-2007, 02:29 AM

FYI on Nico's match today.

Ferrer is opening up the exhibition today (they should just be starting) and then Nico plays FeLo immediately afterwards.

Expected :p

this is way more than just ridiculous ... yeah it's an exhibition so the last year was that too as well? geez! if I'd only have known that before :rolls:

I'm laughing now, after reading the article in cooperativa and saying to my screen "what the f*ck is that?!?! is somebody f*cking with me or what?!? is this a practical joke or what the f*ck?!?!" yeah I said f*ck like a hundred of times after seeing the score :retard:

This isn't new...it's been going on since 2006. It seems like Nico has been on vacation for quite awhile now.

Thanks for the info.

His career is going down the toilet, he hasn't won in ages, he needs to prepare for 2008 both physically and mentally, and he isn't taking it seriously.

Wonderful.

Plus the fact that he's paid good money to play in these events. And fans pay good money to see the matches. He owes both the tournament and the fans to give his best.

I may be out of here more quickly than the Oz Open. :(

thanks for that Juliet ... if he wasn't going to take it seriously then I don't know why the tournament gave him a freaking wc, the others are more tired than him (except coria of course) since they just were playing challengers the last week and they're trying on their matches, so shame on him! and even more since he did it on the country of one of his fans :p

if he wants money then why don't he invest time in something else instead of playing exhibitions?!? ... muu point again :o

NicoFan what is that avatar huh?

NicoFan
12-06-2007, 01:37 PM
Indeed...shame on him. I've seen him do this before, and it pisses me off. It costs money to host and attend these events, and its not fair to the organizers or the fans. Like Kid said, if he needs money, go invest it instead of wasting everyone else's money. And people should work for their money, not just get handed money and do nothing to deserve it.

My avatar reflects my new tennis direction, about 7 weeks early. ;) No more Nico, just watching tennis to enjoy the game.

and I agree NicoFan, if he'd only have played some challegers of the petrobras tour we'd have seen some good wins and some points as well  but no matter, let's hope that this continue for the next season, see Nico? I bet that he had much much more fun winning this thing than only doing what he did on the first match :rolls:

My dear Lovely, don't judge us, you still have no idea what is to be following Nicolas through all this time like most of us here, is not easy to only be proud or happy for him all the time when we know that he's not having a good time no matter what he says, we want the best for him and he doesn't need us to be licking his boots all the time, we support him no matter what but we also appreciate our lifes and his life and what he has done sometimes is not helping to our or is health .... so what I'm trying to say here is that everyone has its way to support for our Nico and we're still here no matter what, we've been here "suffering" all this for more time than you so you've to understand that well, it hasn't been a piece of cake :haha:

Well said Kid.

Lovely like Kid said, please don't judge us. You haven't been a Nico fan long. And I have been a loyal fan for years and years. If I need to vent sometimes, then I will. I've done so much to prove my loyalty to him that I don't feel that I need to defend myself when I do get upset with him.

Look at the article EF posted - he admitted that at times he doesn't have much desire to play. And that's when I get upset with him. I DON'T CARE IF HE WINS OR LOSES. I just want him to TRY.

As Kid said, that's my last statement on this topic.

guess what? F Gonzalez won't be able to play de exhibition in Buenos Aires and Nico is taking his place, he's playing against Monaco tomorrow night  ... I just found out and here it's the article in cooperativa

"Fui a entrenar y quedé tieso, duro.

(Cooperativa.cl)
