That'll be cool. I still remembered what Paola (or Clarisa) said 2 years ago, she said that now the country was struggling, it was good that they got to win this and bring some joys into Argentina at this difficult time.:)

Oh that'd be very nice. But you know, the other women players in the semifinal are better than Paola.. so it'd be hard if not impossible lol

Ha! You guys don't give up! :) It might happen - Suarez is playing well and could certainly make the final. As for the men, well, everyone else is outnumbered! A good chance! :)

Paola doesnt have a chance in hell of beating capriati anywhere, she may beat dementieva or myskina on clay, but Capriati would be too good for her.

I don't think Capriati will beat Myskina...

If I recall correctly capriati has a very good record against myskina, and she defeated myskina very easily 2 or three weeks ago on clay too.

Well i thought Myskina would be trounced today given her long match against Kuznetsova the previous evening, and the greater quality of opponent. It went against the form book today and could do again. After all, Capriati didn't play that well against Serena, she benefitted from a lot of errors from Williams.

Suarez winning? Unlikely, but I'd like to see it happen. As for the men, I'd much rather see Nalbandian or Gaudio taking the whole thing; far superior in entertainment terms to Coria, in my opinion -but that's just an opinion, so please don't hurt me Guille fans. :scared:

Thats fine. Youre completely entitled to your opinion. ;) I wish Nalbandian and Gaudio luck tomorrow as well ;) :p

Coria is pretty much a given, Suarez unfortunately will probably get hit off the court by Dementieva :(

Paola beat Dementieva the only time they played on clay.

Guilermo, ok... Not Paola. She doesn't stand a chance.

Paola doesnt have a chance in hell. I saw Demenieva's match against Amelie yesterday and she is on fire. hopefully it will be an all russian final, i wanna see a new grand slam champ

I read today the story that Guille knows Paola since he was 3 years old.

It was Guille's father who "discovered" her, when she was 8, and brought her to her first national kids tourney; they ride a long distance bus and he was carrying little Willy with them...they arrived late so she should have been W.O., but Guille's father managed to convince organisers to let her play and she finally won the tourney...

:) It'll just be such an inspiration if both of them do win. They'll prove that in the "power tennis" era, their clay magic can still take apart the big hitters. I really hope they do win, good luck:D

If Myskina wins it'll be a stronger blow to power tennis...

Wouldn't be too sure..

Myskina is far from perfect.. Dementieva's serve is not good and she is inconsistent too and Capriati.. well her matches were plain awful. All of them. She just struggles and fights her way through.

Two Argentine winners would be great.. But no Coría.. please. He is probably going to win, but I hope he doesn't. Nalbandían and Gaudío would be great though. And Paola :D :D

I'd prefer Paola and Gaston... but they are the least likely to win RG... but you never know! It's been a wacky French this year.
