So, I guess the Nobel Committee aren't totally out-to-lunch.

Funny thing is that she didn't care she won.

She was like "Hmm ok"

I read an account a little more negative. She said ''I couldn't care less.'' So it seems she knows how much the Nobel Committee have lost their way.
However when a reporter pointed out that she would have a surge in sales of her books, she brightened up and said, ''OK, I guess that's good then.''

Lessing is a pretty good choice. :) I think she said smth like 'I've been nominated for so many years that I can't get too excited about it any more'.

I had to laugh at her reaction  They showed it on tv the other day, and when the reporter told her she had won the Nobel prize, she went all, "oh Christ " :rolls:

From what I remember, she was very critical about the whole thing though, because apparently the committee had told her years ago she would never win it :o
