Are the BBC gonna show coverage of Henman's match against Chela or are they just gonna shun him as usual? Anybody know?

If they do, I just hope it's better than the coverage v Llodra

Conan read that the BBC have rights to all of Roland Garros, they just choose to only show the finals(apart from the occasional Henman match).

It's not like the BBC are overflowing with top sporting events nowadays, so why don't they fill some time with tennis?

BBC has the rights to all of Aus Open as well as all of RG

but they dont show any of it

they dont even have to pay for it as they already have done so.

even putting it on BBC3 will be fine, as nothing comes on there until 7pm :o

BBC are just a waste of space

Brit ES........ cant they do something sensible for once and show Moya vs Coria :o
they dont surely think they will get more ppl watching them than BBC do they ???

Yeah I remember in 2000/2001 I think the BBC actually broadcast the Australian Open overnight {not sure about previous to that}. I think they should have carried on doing this as due to the time difference between Britain and Australia it was on in the middle of the night, so they were hardly sacrificing any crucial TV. :(

The beeb still broadcast the AO singles finals (both women's and men's) live in the middle of the night. For some odd reason they show the RG women's final live, but always delay the men's final by a couple of hours. Why oh why?

The only way they'll change that would be if we had a Brit in there. Come on Tim, you can do it :)

The BBC is a disgraceful corporation, run by some working-class idiots, who rather would see the darts and snooker fill the hours rather than a sport which actually test athletic ability!!!!!!!! I guess the general English public is not interested in any sport apart from football im afraid, the BBC used to show RG and Aus all the time, but I guess this day its all about ratings therefore no ratings, no show. Unfortunately, Tim is the only one that can pull the punters Im afraid. I dont think most English people know who Coria, Ferrero, or Safin are. Just the way the cookie crumbles, well at least the next few weeks will be choc a block with tennis, Queens, Wimbly, Eastbourne, but no Nottingham :( :( . Be happy for what we do get, at least its something.

I just hope for the Henman fans that if the BBC decide to show anything, that it isn't a heartbreaking loss for Henman.

They normally broadcast Queen's on the internet too, hope this continues this year. Their coverage at Wimbledon is excellent, although fans that don't have interactive may get Henman-overload as that's what brings the ratings in.
