Solid work, Muzza :yeah: led by two breaks in the first but lost one of them after an injury time-out.

Caught the end of the second set, Tsonga played well but he had quite a few errors - gave too many cheap points to Andy.

That's a very good win. Tsonga had been playing so well (managed to watch 2 of his matches). Good for Muzza.!

Not a great match from Tsonga - very uneven and seemed to be struggling with the neck/shoulder area from what I could see with the trainer.

Murray looked plenty good enough and the result was never in much doubt, really. He didn't look like he had to work desperately hard for it, which is good news as he will need a full tank to deal with Guillermo "brick wall" Canas in the next round, who I think could give Murray plenty of trouble and could go either way.

Having Murray back at the level he was at earlier this year during January, Feburary, and March will make things very interesting in Slams next year. If healthy, I expect Murray to make at least a Slam SF next year if not more.

Andy loves big server. This result is not a surprise. Go on and win the tournament now.

Hopefully, Tsonga's shoulder is not another injury.

This could have been his breakout year. He had great momentum from last year, made a very good showing in Melbourne.
It will be great to see him crack Top 10 and better next year.

Ezekiel might have to go on prozac. :D

To do that he must cut out the passive rubbish and play aggressive tennis. I expect the Melbourne Murray to turn up tomorrow, the one that was crunching the ball past Nadal, as he will have to play that way to beat Willy.

The defensive play works for him against many players, it's his style (maybe he was physically behind others growing up and adapted that way). He is still less of a counterpuncher than Hewitt was when Hewitt first came on the scene. And his defense turned into offense shots are better than Hewitt's IMO. He is very crafty as well. He plays it like chess, he is always two shots ahead in his mind.

With Canas, well he will have chances to play more dictating so let's see if that works. I give him high chances to win that match. And if he does, it will be a nice comeback of sorts.

I would like to see that, it would be nice to see Andy finish the year well after all he's been through.

Hey, didn't you say if Robredo won this event you would ...? (what was it?)
