Obviously the Top 4 Seeds Will Make Semis In Tokyo.

Of the Top 4 seeds in Tokyo I think only Ferrer could have a tough QF against Lopez, though perhaps Karlovic could trouble Hewitt for a while but Hewitt's movement will aid him.

So should the semis be:

(1) Ferrer Vs. (4) Hewitt

and

(2) Berdych Vs. (3) Gasquet

which two are making the final and who will win?

I predict a final of:

(3) Gasquet Vs. (4) Hewitt with Gasquet wining.

Yeah Gasquet has a great chance to win this tournament and if he does I shall be delighted. It would be nice for him to make that damn year ending masters.

If Richie wins Tokyo, he'll jump up to #7 in the race

Gasquet's fitness is always in doubt and who knows when he might run out of gas. Could be tomorrow against Sela.

Berdych will also be #7 in the race if he wins right?

What would Hewitt be? If Hewitt were to win and at least make the semis of both the Madrid and Paris masters would he have a chance of qualifying?

With the way he has been crushing his opponents,i don't think his fitness will be an issue.

Ivo is 2-0 against Hewitt and they were both several years ago when Ivo was a much weaker player. The 1st time, as most people probably remember, was back at Wimbledon when Hewitt was #1 seed and the defending champion and Ivo wasn't even an ATP level player yet. Assuming Ivo recovers from the tough 2 and a half hour win over Lee I think you'd have to put him as the solid favorite. Definitely not an easy matchup for Hewitt.

I was about to make a silverwhite impersonation and predict a loss against Sela but you are too quick.

if gasquet reached the final, theres no way he can play next week unless he wants to completely ruin his chances in madrid

Gasquet should beat Dudi, but I highly doubt he'll beat Berdych. :p If Berdych wins the tournament and Gasquet reaches the semifinals, what'll the race look like then?

Gasquet is better than Berdych and he'll prove that next saturday(assuming both win their 1/4 final)
Berdych couldn't even beat Benjamin Becker last week

The last time Gasquet met Berdych, I think 2 years ago in Toronto?, Gasquet handled Berdych very easily in straight sets.

Berdych has also beaten Federer, Nadal, and Roddick on faster hard courts, so if he has an on day, I think Gasquet'll run out of steam. :o Yes, I know Gasquet's beaten Berdych once before, but that was in Toronto, the ball was going high, the court was generally fairly slow - conditions suited Gasquet, and he made Berdych hit a lot of errors, if I remember right. Tokyo is faster hard court, isn't it?

To beat Nadal on hard court is hardly an achievement, many players can do that.
He beat Roddick but Gasquet also did that and in one of Roddick's favourites tournaments(Wimbledon).
His win against Federer was a good one though(even though i'm not sure Federer was that motivated in Olympics)

I foresee Berdych - Ferrer but then foreseeing anything involving Berdych is always iffy and all these players have their chances.

Beating Nadal on HC is a decent acheivement and that was a good win.

Federer was very motivated for the Olympics, he was irritated by conditions but certainly he wanted to win. Watch the post match interview, he is not a happy man.
