I've seen Todero often enough, he hasn't big potential. I even expected Guccione to win this one.

Guccione is a sucky player.

The Gooch is a great player i have saw him playing against verdasco and donald young, it is an ace master en great volley i dont now how people can break him so much times like young did

He has to defend his points from these challengers.

His result at these altitude clay challengers last year were amazing (two titles back-to-back, beating Canas) but I feel his form is way below that level now -- first half-decent opponent and he will be out. As a consequence he will drop way out of the top-100.

hey come on his performance in the davis cup against djokovic was pretty good. he should of taken that 4 sets though when he was something like 5-2 up in the tiebreak

Guccione will never be anything, unless they decide to play grand slams in altitude.

Good win from the Gooch...

Lots of points to defend for the rest of the season. I hope he does well

he needs to win another 10 matches in a row to defend his points. Good Luck Chris

Well lets be honest if Gooch had have won a couple of those ATP matches he lost he wouldn't be in this position and would probably be ranked in the 60's by now, Gooch better set himself up for some wins if he wants direct entry to defend points in Adelaide. Although he has only played a qualifier and a wildcard so doesn't really give a good idea of how well he is playing

Well done Chris. After a pretty lacklustre year, he acquitted himself well in Davis Cup against Djokovic. Glad he's been able to keep that form going here this week, he's not given enough credit for his ability.

Isn't that for every player?

You lost. If you had won, you would have been ranked higher...

I've figured it out, the Gooch has been inspired by his AFL team the Geelong Cats winning the AFL premiership.
