Well start Muzza.

is he still pushing the ball around on his forehand like some WTA teenager ?

 When isn't he?

:haha:

Man, his DC performances were utter :bs: He needs to cut the passive crap otherwise he won't be doing anything big in the remainder of the year.

The usual Murray problem - unable to get it done quite cleanly. Nice 6-4 and 6-2 but there's the small matter of the 1-6 in the middle. He needs to cut out the middle man.

Still, he's still on the road back so the win is the key thing. Hopefully the match tightness will come back and there'll be less of this second set howlers going forward.

Plus Tipsarevic can be a very tricky opponent so it's good to get a win over him.

I was "watching" this on the scoreboard, and he was 6-4 1-1 0-40 on Tipsy's serve and I went to make dinner. I came back about 10 minutes later to find he'd lost the 2nd set 6-1

Still, a win's a win and his quarter of the draw doesn't look so bad. Hopefully he can get a few more matches under his belt and get a bit of form back. He's down to play every week now until the end of the season.

Good to get some matches in, I still don't expect much so every win is a bonus.

I hope him and Jamie do well in the doubles as well.

Nice win, although the score is a bit wacky.

Andy needs matches at this point so every win is a good win.

Good job Andy. I'm not sure if Tipsarevic will ever turn out to be more than a mediocre player.

Good question. I'm prone to think he made a bad choice (though it might've not been a choice at all) staying in Serbia. He should really get an experienced high-level coach, and I don't see any such creature here right now.

I gather it's either Eschauer or Llodra - that match is later today.

Muzza will play Llodra.

Corey Feldman

Hopefully Llodra will be tired by now..
but his tool of an opponent retiring today didnt help.

That just means Fakervic sucks. Nothing more.

At least it's a small step up from losing two sets against Cilic. Muzza slowly making progress. :yeah:

Andy needs to buck his ideas up and play the game style he's less comfortable with. Just because the passive crap suits him and is easy for him doesn't mean he'll win anything with it, because he WON'T.
