For constantly blowing matches being up a set and a break.

He lost 3 matches (Starace, Fish, Robredo) after match point up in the last 7 tournaments.
He has lost 8 consecutive tie-breaks. Good contender for a "choker of the year" :hatoff:

Can someone explain to me why the German football teams are mentally so strong, yet their tennis players are mentally weak as piss?

Mayer is a joke, I gave up betting on this cretin years ago.

He's just a headcase.

Just got back from seeing "Run Fatboy Run" and Mayer could be in that last clip of the marathon race...sprawled all over the pavement, about 10 metres from the finish line, with a load of bettors jeering right behind him. :tape:

I wouldn't be too surprised if he takes a long, long break. Didn't he actually mention something like "I would love to "retire" for at least six months" in one of his post Wimbledon interviews?!

Bilbo

he should retire and study

100% choker of the year

He just can't close matches especially for a guy so tall :p

Could be a top 30 player if he could close out matches.

So very true. Calleri could easily win the choker of the century award.

Calleri is a special for this, after his wonderful performance against Koubek in Sopot.

Canas pulled of a good one Vs Mathieu (of all ppl) in Canada this year..... what was it? 6-4 4-0 .. BP's or something.

what happened to that warrior from the start of the season.

that was a real shocker and does not happen often to a player like Canas

Mayer however is blowing leads left and right

Mathieu was just swinging hard and just hitting clean winners.

The Burrow/Jaap biplay is great fodder for the Arse Clown Contest, which I am doing the entry list for and yes they are in.
