The Gods are shining on Coria Now*@@*!

Escude is pathetic-> he should have atleast attempted continuing; probably realised Coria was going to whip him 6-0,6-0,6-0 so the lanky Frenchman wanted to save himself the embarrassment>_<.

He has the stomach flu. He got it last night and been throwing up all night. He did the right thing. You can't play like that when youre up against Coria.

Escude had problems (i don't know how to say it in english). He started to feel it after Youhzny match, and it was worse this morning. He tried to play because it was RG, but he shouldn't even have played.

Well from what I hear, they don't let you play doubles if you pull out from a singles match beforehand. And it seems like he's playing doubles.. so I guess he only had energy (and the will) for one.

Escude - I heard - will be playing doubles. But if he pulled out of singles he could not play doubles.

Coria has to be the bagel king this year at RG. Every time I look at his match scores, I'm always seeing double zeros. :)

Asked what the problem was, Escude said: "Tendonitis in my right
shoulder. Against Coria on clay, one set and I go.

"This morning it was awful. As soon as I tried to lift my arm above
my head it was impossible.

"Each serve was really painful. There was no point in going on. I
decided to stop."

Escude, who has a long history of groin and back injuries, said he
had considered not playing at all.

"But I'm a French player on centre court in Paris facing Coria. I
had been training all year for that. I really wanted to be there,"
he added.

Coria getting the break...

This really could cement Coria getting the championship trophy. He could run all day as it is but now only having to play for like 15 minutes in the 4th round of the French makes it so much easier for him.
