It's amazing to see the fighting AND winning Shaker back. Hopefully not only in this tournament and until this game.

F..K~~ when the F..K is Hewitt going to get his F..King shit together again><?????

Very disappointing, especially the way he lost after leading 5-2 in the 2nd set & 3-set points to take it 6-2!!!
That was a serious choke job at the end there><..
Lleyton`s self-confidence is not what it used to be><

To be honest, I dont think that was a choke, he was well up in tghe score, cruising, against a lowly ranked, confidence deprived, aging opponent in a small tournament in Mumbai, no reason for a choke there, he just wasted it.

I hope Lleyton is not too tired and decides to go home. I don't want him to skip Tokyo again!

...why would Hewitt bother showing up in Mumbai just to "waste it" like that:confused:
it really disappoints me that Lleyton no longer has that 100% attitude anymore:sad:

What's wrong with Hewitt? It shouldn't be a problem to win the 2nd set when he had sps.

Congrats to Rainer though.

You dont understand me, by that I mean he justp layed a couple of poor points, so he wasted the chance to take the set.

But yes I think you are right when you say he doesnt have as intense attitude AT TIMES, anymore. I dont think this tournament is something he would be completely pumped up for.

yes but Hewitt`s not winning the `big tourneys` anymore, so if he can`t even win these MM tourneys then why continue:confused:
>> if you bother to make the trip to India & take the appearance fee then make the effort to concentrate & win the tourney [just wish he were more professional like he used to be]

I'm pretty certain he would only be playing this tournament to fill in the schedule and to gain some points.

We all know Hewitt performs better at the bigger tournaments.

Not so surprising ! 9 sets last week-end, virus, time shift, clay to hard...
Gasquet will win easily ! :-)

Even when Rainer at his prime in 2003, I doubt he could defeat Hewitt in straight sets.

Rainer in 2007 with his ranking around 150, hadn't won more than a match at ATP tournaments, hadn't won more than 3 matches in any tournament (won 3 matches in CH Astana and 3 qualies in USO and IW),.....

And now he won 3 matches in Mumbai, just incredible!!!!!!!!!!

RagingLamb
09-28-2007, 07:36 PM
that's terrible. you shouldn't be able to accept something like that if you're Hewitt.

I think we can't say that Schuettler was strong. If you see the statistics, Hewitt was very bad on serve in particular and the German not exceptional.

Hewitt's words.

"I was flat today in the game. Rainer played really well. Despite me being up in the second set, he just kept going. I served poorly and he returned my serves very well."
