Perhaps more interesting who we WOULDN'T invite and why.

Blake - with British mother, I expect him EITHER to sit quietly in the corner for the whole evening and prudently chew every bite exactly 30 times OR to get so bloody drunk he'd vomit all around the place, including himself.

Davydenko - he'd ask for attendance fee.

Federer - he'd expect everyone to go "wow!" and "that was pure art" on his cutlery moves.

Nadal - just imagine the poor chap going baloney with all those beer bottles around him.

Nadal and Berdych. And, who knows, they playing each other in a friendly game of piñata ...

Seriously?! Federer, for obvious reasons. Gasquet, so I could use him as a piñata for Nadal and Berdych to play with. Maybe he would wake up then ...

But if you invite Nadal, make sure to have some nice pillows for him to sit on, because the last thing you would want is seeing your plan ruined by Nadal's aching ass.

While I am at that, it would be good for you to have someone carrying Djoko around, because all the walking around at the barbaque would make him cramp out.

Borg would probably steal from you. McEnroe would criticise the quality of the party. Safin would say he was coming and not show up. Santoro would spend the whole time doing party tricks. You would have to lock all your cupboards and hide all your hair products from Boris. Kuerten and Ivanisevic would be ok.

From the poll options, no-one to be honest.
Out of all the active players, I'd invite Frankie Dancevic and Lucho, and then once we'd finished all the food, Nalbandian, and I would kick his ass at pool.
Out of the past players, I'd invite Muster and Horst Skoff, and hopefully sparks would fly.

I'd invite Roger because he's my favorite player, nd i'd just like to be with him in an informal setting. Mirka can come and eat all she wants, I like her, too. I'd have my barbecue at a park near my house that has tennis courts, and he'd have to play (with me) for his supper :) I'd love that, just to feel/see or not see/feel his ball coming at me. After feeding him well, I'd pop the question, can I write your next biography? He'd rtke some of my writing home to think about his answer. I'd get a letter from him some time later inviting me to a barbecue in Dubai to begin interviews for the bio.

With whom do you get stranded after your car breaks down ?

With whom do you walk home saturday night home with no car or taxi ?

Living where I do, I think it would be best to invite Andy. He'd like to be in the outdoors and would get along with the people here. He would like to go 4-wheeling after the cook out and he'd be nice to everybody.

If I still lived in Houston, I might invite Nadal because there would be Spanish speakers invited too, and I could introduce him to my goddaughters. :) :) Djokovic could come too although there might be a Croatian or two at the barbeque.
