Yeah the Kendrick 1st set was just plain awful. He was complaining about the lights, didn't look energetic or excited, basically just listless with a bunch of UEs. Terrible display (oh, and Kim played pretty good too) of tennis in the 1st. Thankfully, he lifted his level considerable and Kim wilted like a daisy in Iraq. The Young / Ram match was good quality all together. Young played well, but didn't manage to break serve for a long stretch and kept getting pissed at himself. Seems like after every point he lost he was visibly irritated. But give him time - he's got a nice game. Won it in 3, 6-2 or something in the 3rd after two breakers.

You're welcome :) Obviously I didn't see the match, but I did see Sweeting play really badly at IW earlier this year and he seemed like the guy who, when he is bad, he is REALLY bad. (Or maybe Montcourt was outstanding, I'm sure that's what Adam would suggest;))

He must have been truly dreadful :speakles: :help: So much talent, but too inconsistent then I guess.

I am sure Adam would say that, but Montcourt really is no big shot

I think he played....Seppi? at IW. certainly not a bad player, but I just remember Sweeting couldn't keep the ball in play. I can see how that would happen again and create such a shocking scoreline but I must say when I got back to the tennis from the hospital and saw that score on the big draw board, I was pretty shocked.

He lost to Zib, 3-6 2-6. I looked it up :p

Ryan really whacks the ball a lot, so I guess on a bad day, he whacks them well out of bounds haha.

Zack says he felt so burned out on court yesterday (he's played and traveled a lot in the last 6 weeks or so) that he just could not muster the fight to get back into the match. He knows it was sloppy, but in a way he's glad to have a few days off before he heads up to Rimouski this weekend.

Oh my gosh, tennis players are human!

Yeah Young is looking consistent enough to get into the top-100 pretty soon. He could be there before the end of the year. And he can improve on that in the first half of 2008 where he doesn't have many points to defend.
