It seems like every year Haas starts of the year strong and plays incredible tennis then he fades in the middle and later half of the year. :( Maybe he needs to take two months off in the middle to refresh.

such a weird guy. plays like a prick during the american summer, cranks it up a notch in nyc and goes RIGHT back to playing like a prick.

i don't get that dude, seriously. how can someone like haas lose vs. a journeyman like mahut? haas starts showing some kinda maratesque attitude, i guess. bit of a drama queen...

surprising result. Good win out of Mahut though. Nice to seem post a good singles win after blowing that match against Roddick in Queens; he's done nothing since then.

What kind of hard courts are they in Thailand?

after being destroyed in the Davis Cup by Andreev he flew to Bangkok knowing he wasn't going to put in any effort :confused: He wasn't being paid well enough this tournament to do that.

Mahut is actually a very good player. He really should have won Queens this year. He game should transition well to other faster surfaces.

Last week Haas said he doesn't want to pay the big fine for withdrawing, that's why he will go for sure.
