As expected you don't understand what I was saying and yes Stepanek and Berdych were always favourites to beat Wawa and I stated that many times but no they were not foregone conclusions and I will stand by everything I said and you're still a fanboy moron if you think that Wawa had zero chance and may as well have stayed at home.

Wawrinka never shows up as the man in Daviscup. An other poor performance for him.

Yada-yada-yada.

Told you this would happen, and I was right. Too hard to cope with that? Stepanek and Berdych haven't lost even a set against Wawrinka.

If only Radek could be less of a prick on court, I could enjoy his game. He has a very nice game to watch (minus antics).

No.

You were still 100% wrong and the fact that you can't see that the results make NO difference to what we spoke about show why you will never understand what I am talking about and it's called having perspective.

The Czechs belong in the World Group and Federer now has one less thing to worry about next year. The Swiss should still do fine in Group I even without him.

Clearly nobody on MTF watched the game (well I didn't either, but followed match reports).

Stepanek had a long injury break in the middle of a game late in the third set, was in pain and was close to retiring, but managed to win the set and match.

How many serves did Stan returned today? A disgraceful performance by him on Radek serve, especially considering that Radek suffered an injury and only relied on the serve (and obviously on Waw mistakes) in the last 3 games of the match.

Lunaris
09-23-2007, 05:12 PM
Radek is the man. He overcame a knee injury in the third set and through an amazing display on his serve took it in three. I doubt he would have won in four or five. What a return to our Davis Cup team. :worship:

I knew this, cause the way the odds blew out for Stepanek. But this isn't just a run of the mill tournament, which he would have retired.

It meant more than that, funny thing is that the Swiss played the best team in the World Group play offs, when there were so many other beatable ones there, those are the breaks.

No, your prediction was correct. You won't see me blindly ignoring the facts that Wawa lost both matches, ignoring facts is your job.

What was wrong was that Wawrinka had ZERO chance to win either match given Berdych's ability to be hit and miss (he lost to Roddick on clay in DC earlier this year) and Stepanek's ability to lose the plot in DC when it matters most it was an ingorant and moronic thing to say.

This will be my last post on the matter and no doubt you will reply so you can have the last laugh like a little child and I hope you enjoy the satisfaction of that but let me just say that it is blatantly clear that you are talking rubbish and it's embarrasing to see you call anyone else fanboy with the way you talk about some match-ups and players.

You want a clown fight, go fight a troll like RFK, Fedfan2007 or Mediter. It's too boring and narrow minded for me.

Congrats to the Czechs, it will be a shame blaming Stani for this loss, he just couldn't win away matches against players like Berdych and Stepanek. Now the Swiss will likely come back even without Roger. Of course if they make it to the playoff match Roger will land in the court from an helicopter dressed in a trademark superhero costume.

Radek proves again that he is in excellent form the last months. Congrats to the Czech team and their supporters for winning the tie and staying in the WG :yeah:

It's no shame for the Swiss team to lose to the Czechs in Prague. Their are other good tennis teams as Australia, Croatia and Chile relegated from the WG as well, which shows that the competition is very tough.

Action Jackson

Congrats to the Czechs, a well-deserved victory!

I think anyone should be able to admit that Czechs are the better team, and as such, the deserved their spot in the World Group more than the Swiss.

I can't help but think that Fed himself won't feel too sad about this... now he doesn't have to bother with it anymore.

This weekend has shown how vital Stepanek's presence is for the success of the Czechs in Davis Cup, just hope he doesn't turn his back on the team again.

Doubt Federer will play the Euro/Africa zone next year, when he was already despising the WG first round. But the Swiss team is surely good enough to reach at least the Playoffs again even without him.

Few players currently would feel confident of beating Stepanek.

Yes, Stani lost to very good players especially on this surface and it's like Federer crushed them either.

As Stepanek said they chose this surface to negate Stani.
