Good win and the Gooch did well to force two TB's considering his terrible form of late.

bahahahahahah
Never in doubt.

Once Lleyton pulled out, it was almost given SRB would win

With Djoko and Tipsy as singles players SRB have a pretty good team. On their weekend they could beat almost any team I recon. Djoker can win his matches and Tipsy is always capable of the odd big performance.

It's always like this in matches with monster servers.

Ugh good win I guess jokervic. Some of his reactions are completely ridiculous and lame though. Whats with him crouching down after getting broken back in the second set like had had been hit in the balls

Solid effort from the Gooch, there's still so many things he could improve with his game, some of his decision making is terrible. Should of won that 3rd set but oh well, Novak did well considering the pressure.

Terrible end though, let the players shake hands before you start celebrating. probably the way to finish off the tie.

what happened to hewitt?

injured?

He retired because of a viral infection. Some guys here are speculating that this infection was developing in his ass as he was afraid that Djokovic would kick his ass but I'm not sure

With figures like that I am surprised on a clay court that the score was not more one sided.

:woohoo:

I enjoyed the match, minus a few "drama class" moments by a certain player  , and the crowd was less annoying, the outcome is great, so yup, i'm pleased.
I sorta freaked out at the end when the lights went off...i thought it was a power shortage lmao

And i gotta say that you Aussies are some cool ppl...for real...have a safe trip home and take care :wavey:

Guccione showed us that when he's able to make the right decisions on court and anticipate a bit more effectively, he'll be a solid player that no one will want to face. Nole was very temperamental throughout the whole match, even throwing fits a set and a break up. Still, he was able to hold it together and that's what we should expect from a top 5 player.

A bad flu was going around the entire Australian team, including Fitzgerald and a few others. Lleyton most probably contracted the same virus, so no, he didn't chicken out.

Congratulations to Serbia for making the World Group.

Guccione played a pretty good match here, especially considering his form of late and I enjoyed watching it to some extent.

If Guccione was a half decent baseliner he could have done more damage.

Hmmm...he had the flu, but he didn't "chicken out."

So does this mean that it wasn't the infamous "bird flu?" :D ;)
